The article Final Drive has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 18:50, 7 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.   Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Your first article. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Reposting articles deleted per policy is greatly frowned upon. I believe the term to be a plausible redirect to drive axle and have moved it accordingly. Please read WP:BAND before posting any further articles on little-known bands. Thank you. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 18:14, 25 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
Any further vandalism will result in your being blocked from editing Wikipedia. This is not the place to discuss your band; your username makes it obvious that this is a single purpose account. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 18:22, 25 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for advertising/self-promotion (spam-only account). If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

Request reason:

I'm not self promoting, wikipedia has link to Final Drive the band on the Battle for Ozzfest and if that doesn't justify a listing I don't what does. Just a Fan trying to get these guys a link, Since wikipedia already has them on a page

Decline reason:

You may wish to see our policies on notability for bands and reliable sources, both of which need to be established in a neutral tone in order for an article to remain. Articles that fail to establish why their subject is notable may be speedily deleted or otherwise changed without discussion as yours was, and those that appear to be blatantly promotional may be similarly dealt with. Continually re-adding deleted or redirected content against consensus may result in a block, especially if your account shows no other edits and has made no attempt to discuss the issue. — Hersfold (t/a/c) 18:40, 25 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Finaldrive (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Number 12 on the Notability list "Has been the subject of a half hour or longer broadcast across a national radio or TV network". This has been the case for this band appearing on MTV's the Battle for Ozzfest for 12 episodes in 2004. This band meets the requirements, please reconsider and relist the band.

Decline reason:

That may make a claim to notability, but not for you being unblocked. Use this template only to request unblock, and address whether your conduct merits it. As it is, given that your username matches that of the band and you have edited that article, it can be considered promotional and should stay blocked. — Daniel Case (talk) 17:23, 26 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
