21st century edit

It was vandalism, in that you changed 2100 to 2099. The rest is just not helpful. Your source is NOT acceptable, and there is a century called the 2000s. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 17:05, 18 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please refer to Wikipedia's vandalism policy for clarity on which actions constitute vandalism. As I stated on your user talk page, my presentation of a factual error was accidental and therefore doesn't qualify as an act of vandalism (i.e. an intentional act meant to disturb the integrity of an article). I also do not understand why you are deeming my source unacceptable, as it is both scholarly and peer reviewed. Lastly, there is indeed a century that is commonly referred to as the 2000s. However, when an individual references the aforementioned century, they are in fact attempting to refer to the 21st century. With that being said, I don't see how it is either constructive or necessary to include information distinguishing the two on this article. - Felix Kennedy

Regarding Rubin's accusations of you being a vandal, I will be taking this (and other problematic edits) to a wider audience in due course Felix, I'm sorry you were given such a lack of good faith from one of this project's "admins". It should never happen again. The Rambling Man (talk) 19:10, 18 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
