Help request

Figured I probably wasn't going to do something right. I understand the reasoning behind the verification process, but am unclear on how one would verify the fact that he was a recipient of the "Grand Cross". What would one need to provide? As far as the elaboration on the "Masonic Southern Jurisdition" part of the Article, that isn't the organization's title, as you can see on Wikipedia's own page about the Scottish Rites "Southern Jurisdiction", While the organization is Masonic in nature, it is a separate appendant body called the Scottish Rite. There are two Jurisdictions, Northern and Southern. I guess what I am saying is that, Ill. Bro. Ernest was a member of the Southern Jurisdiction of the Scottish Rite and not the "Masonic Southern Jurisdiction" as stated in the Article. To someone outside of the Fraternity it really doesn't matter, but..... Obviously, I am new at this and probably should have left well enough alone. I really do enjoy the Wikipedia and use it regularily. But since I have gone down this road, I would like to be able to do it right, but I have a hard time with the legaleze. • Just figure it like this: From what source did you get your information? Articles on Wikipedia are based on reliable and independent sources. We don't add content then pray to find a source after the fact. I don't know where one would verify the content that you desire to add. But if we don't have a source, we simply can't add the information. Hope this helps. If you have questions, please feel free to contact me. While I don't doubt his status was/is well known within the organization, Wikipedia content needs to be properly verified by reliable sources. The content should only be re-added if such sources are available. Beeblebrox (talk) 21:44, 14 August 2012 (UTC)

I hope that my edit to this article solves the problem. I have stuck carefully to the information given in the reference and placed it, appropriately I hope, in its own sub-section. Welcome again Fbf123fbf, and I'm sorry about the frustrations involved; Wikipedia is worth persevering with. I speculate that other editors may have been led astray by your mention of Wikipedia itself as a reference - which isn't considered valid for very good reasons. As the information you added was in fact clear in the reference, I would like to remind other editors of Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers.
