Odisha edit

Hi Evilan123. I have reverted your edits at Telugu language. The former state of "Orissa" changed its name to Odisha in 2011, and Wikipedia has now adopted the new spelling. If you had checked the wikilink you would have seen this for yourself, and could also have seen the discussion that resulted in the move on the Talk page. Not a problem. It happens to us all you know. Skinsmoke (talk) 14:25, 27 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Apologies for the delay in replying to your request on my talk page - I have been away for 10 days without computer access. Can you let me have a few more details about what you are wanting to create and I will certainly try and help. Regards  Velella  Velella Talk   21:58, 24 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your return message. I would suggest that we keep all the discussion here from now on to keep it in one place. Your talk page is on my watch-list so I will see any replies you make here.
User-boxes are the boxes on user pages containing sensible (or not so sensible things) about the user. Have a look at the Wikipedia guide to Userboxes for more help. The quickest way to add a userbox to your own user page is to simply copy one from somebody else's page (select edit on their user page and select and copy the userbox and then close their page without saving) and then paste it into your user page in edit mode.
The best way to start a new article is to construct it in your own sandbox (there should be a link at the top of the screen). Nobody is likely to change anything you write in your own sandbox unless it is an advertisement or offensive. When it is OK then simply put the title into the search box and search for the title (just to check it doesn't already exist) and on the results page there should be a line which says "You can create the page called ......." with a red link that you can click on. This takes you to an empty page where you can paste the article you created in your sandbox. You might want to have a look at advice on creating your first article as well and please bear in mind that an article must be about something that is notable and must include reliable references to support the facts included in the article. I hope that this helps, but please feel free to ask more questions. Answering is not a problem. Regards  Velella  Velella Talk   19:39, 25 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Help Needed edit

Hi, Vellela, can you help me how to put my user box to the righthand corner of my user page? and i am creating an article called Tutor Pundit, an online tutoring program so i need your help Thank you

The easiest way is to look at other people's user page until you find one that looks OK and copy that onto your own user page and then edit the text and userboxes to fit your own profile. A quick way to get your user-boxes to the right is to use a table such as

{| style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; margin-bottom: 0.5em; width: 242px; border: #99B3FF solid 1px; clear: right" |- | {{User en}} |- | {{User:Br2387/User independent Wales}} |- |}

which looks like this :
enThis user is a native speaker of the English language.
  This user supports the independence of Wales.

Hope that that helps. Regards  Velella  Velella Talk   09:49, 17 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed article on Tutor Pundit edit

Just a word of caution before you get too stuck in to writing an article on Tutor Pundit. It is always quite difficult writing articles about commercial companies and products without seeming to be advertising. Maintaining a balanced and encyclopaedic view and establishing that the company or product is notable in Wikipedia terms can often be difficult. Please do read the notability guidelines (linked above) . You will also need good, reliable and robust independent sources to back up assertions made in the article which should not be the company's own web-site or brochures and shouldn't be social media sites or YouTube. I had a quick search for sources and couldn't see any that I would consider reliable so it may take some real effort to make this work. Best of luck.  Velella  Velella Talk   10:06, 17 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
