Speedy deletion nomination of Sanjay Mehta

edit

Hello Evateleperformance,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Sanjay Mehta for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Blackguard 09:15, 3 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Notes

The text you used has already been published and is copyright. It does not matter who wrote it, it is copyright and not compatible with Wikipedia's licensing under Creative Commons CC-BY-SA 3.0 and the GFDL. In addition, the text is highly promotional and I have added this to the deletion reasons. Wikipedia is not a 'platform' or a directory, and it is also not social media. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia and advertising and/or promotion is not allowed. Please see WP:SPAM about advertising/promotion, WP:BIO about notability, and WP:RS about the reliable independent sources needed to prove it. Peridon (talk) 15:37, 3 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Sanjay Mehta

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sanjay Mehta, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.  GILO   A&E 11:14, 10 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Another Note

edit

I've already told you what to read in order to find out what was wrong. This time, you might not have used text that was copyright, but it was still highly promotional. If you can't see that, you won't get far on Wikipedia. Praise, enthusiasm, adulation - none of those have any place here. Read my Notes message above again (or possibly for the first time...). Imagine you are a college student and not someone working for Mr Mehta. You have to write a totally neutral piece about him for your final exam. Find references and write around them. And do remember that once an article is up and running, anyone can edit it. If there are things that you don't want in there, someone may add them with suitable references - and you cannot remove them unless you can prove the references to be wrong (by producing more accurate ones). Unlike on Facebook, you do not own a page here. You may start it, but you do not control it. Peridon (talk) 13:53, 10 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:Sanjay Mehta

edit

Hello, Evateleperformance. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Sanjay Mehta".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Draft:Sanjay Mehta}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Calliopejen1 (talk) 23:54, 28 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
