My apologies, I just understood the use of "My sandbox" being a page as practice. I appreciate you not deleting the Yogurty's page, I have copy and saved the information in my sandbox so you may delete the page you moved it. Sorry, for all this trouble, I'm just new to this.

No apology is needed. You in effect have two sandboxes - it's just that only one is named "sandbox" (the name is not important to define it as being a sandbox). It is fine for you to practice in your sandbox; I just assumed you were trying to get the Yogurty's Froyo page ready to go as an actual article. LadyofShalott 02:17, 9 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Just one quick question, I created the "yogurty's" page under "my sandbox" so here: User:Esms10/sandbox... if I wanted to start a talk page on there, allowing my other group members to join in, where do we go? Thanks in advance, I appreciate it. Esms10 (talk) 17:05, 9 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Right here: User talk:Esms10/sandbox. (You could also click the tab that says "talk" at the top of your sandbox page.) LadyofShalott 17:30, 9 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Makes sense, thank you. Lastly, I tried finding tutorials on it but didn't succeed in doing so, if I wanted to upload the Yogurty's icon, how do I do so. I took a look at other wikipedia pages and saw that the icons had their own file or page... I'm assming it isn't possible to upload an icon straight from your computer files? Same thing with uploading images. It says it must be an embedded file or from the gallery but I don't understand what that really means.Esms10 (talk) 17:55, 9 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Go to Wikipedia:File Upload Wizard to upload the image files. As far as I know, icons are just images; so I'm not sure what distinction you are drawing there. I do need to warn you about something though: logos are going to belong to the company, and we can only use images like that as fair use, which can only be done in the mainspace. You can't upload an image owned by a company and use it in your sandbox. LadyofShalott 18:10, 9 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Yogurty's Froyo edit

A tag has been placed on Yogurty's Froyo requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Diego Grez (talk) 20:59, 7 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi Esms10, your article was not ready to be in the mainspace for the reasons mentioned abov. However, I saw your talk page note, and rather then deleting the page outright, I have moved it to your userspace at User:Esms10/Yogurty's Froyo. There you can continue to work on it. Welcome to Wikipedia, and if I can help you at all, please let me know! LadyofShalott 23:39, 7 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
May I ask the nature of your school assignment? I am concerned because the page you are developing is not shaping up to be something that is at all acceptable as a Wikipedia article. Right now, even in userspace, what you have is something someone could speedily delete as blatant advertising. I'm sure though that if this is an assignment for school, your teacher would want it to be acceptable as a Wikipedia article. Wikipedia is not meant to be an address directory of every store a company has; nor is is meant to be your menu. You also have no references at all. I strongly urge you to read WP:N, WP:V, and WP:NOT. I also wonder if you work for (or even own) Yogurty's Froyo. If so, please read WP:COI. If you have questions about any of these things, or anything else, please let me know. LadyofShalott 01:20, 9 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Assignment Concern edit

Please remember that the goal of the assignment is to make substantive revisions to existing content that complies with all Wikipedia policies and guidelines and demonstrates a command of the rhetorical modes of encyclopedic writing. Creating a new article raises new sets of concerns, such as those mentioned here by fellow Wikipedians. I understand from speaking to your TA that you've switched topics. I think this is a sensible idea given the assignment goals and the time available to complete the assignment. However, do feel free to continue editing and creating content in future, taking all this feedback into consideration of course. Please update your topic choice on our course page.
