Palestine article

Hi Eric, I reverted you earlier with the comment "Revert most, in the spirit of WP:BRD. Could we add back in more summary form? Too much text here unbalances the article. More can go in to History of Palestine)", but you then reverted me. BRD means the onus is on you to discuss at the article talk page.

Palestine has a history of many thousands of years - if we had so many paragraphs for every few hundred years as you are suggesting, the whole article will become too long.

That's why we have the History of Palestine article.

Could you please reconsider?

Nope - only have the one active account. Any idea how I can get rid of the redundant (inaccessible) Enquiringeric account? I hate having loose ends lying around, and there is always the risk of bad-faith accusations of "sock-puppeteering". Your help would be much appreciated. I have only ever had two accounts as I explained to Brad Dyer, with similar names. I had problems (password and/or logging onto G-mail) with one of them, so I abandoned it. I now only use Erictheenquirer. I am sure that it can be verified that there is no overlap between the two in time. I asked Brad if he knew how to get rid of the redundant User:Enquiringeric, but it seems that he did not, so unfortunately this will continue to be the case in the future, and there appears to be nothing that I can do about it. @Epeefleche and Brad Dyer:Since this is the second time that I have received a question on this topic I have initiated greater efforts to try to get the old user-name erased - it appears that there are indeed means to do so. In the process I discovered that the past problem was not with my G-mail account, so I can only presume that I had Wiki password problems. I will keep this page informed of progress. It seems that it is not necessary for me to seek cancellation of the earlier account, because the Wiki rule is not to USE more than one account. Simply HAVING more than one is not a violation. Direct attacks on civilians, the use of prohibited weapons that are inherently indiscriminate, such as unguided rockets, and indiscriminate attacks that kill or injure civilians are all war crimes. The use of imprecise mortars to attack military objectives located in or near residential areas also constitutes an indiscriminate attack. ... The cases detailed in this report form a consistent pattern with similar violations by Palestinian armed groups over more than a decade, including during the conflicts in 2008-

2009 and November 2012. They demonstrate what is, at best, a reckless disregard for the lives of civilians in Israel, as well as a consistent failure to take all feasible precautions to protect civilians in Gaza from the effects of attacks. In some cases, Palestinian armed groups deliberately targeted civilian population centres inside Israel with the intention of injuring and killing Israeli civilians. War crimes, and all crimes under international law, unequivocally attract the individual criminal responsibility of those who order or carry out such attacks. Palestinian officials who attempt to justify rocket attacks and other violations regularly point to violations by Israeli forces, whose attacks as part of Operation Protective Edge had a devastating effect on Gaza. However, violations by one party cannot justify violations by its opponents.

The last part works both ways of course - Palestinian's violations also do not justify whatever violations that Israel committed. Hello, if I can suggest that you remove your last comment at Talk:Razan al-Najjar, it needlessly personalizes the dispute. Youll do much better here if you ignore the personalities as much as you can and focus on the content and talk about the content and the sourcing as much as you can. Theres no need for a comment like Im glad your position received no support. Im not trying to be harsh but you will have better luck here if you avoid talking about the other editors on article talk pages as much as possible. nableezy - 06:05, 12 June 2018 (UTC)

Since this thread is about the Razan al-Najjar article, I will post here. I appreciate the content, but I have one request: could you focus on including it more to the body of the article? As it stands, the lead has five paragraphs, two or three more than it really requires. It will need to be revised in the near future to be more precise. Per third ARBPIA bullet: "If an edit is reverted by another editor, its original author may not restore it within 24 hours of the first revert made to their edit."
