Speedy deletion nomination of Alex aiono edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Alex aiono requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.last.fm/music/Alex+Aiono/+wiki. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. May 2017 edit

  Hello, I'm Random character sequence. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Billie Eilish, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Famousbirthdays.com as a source edit

Hi EmvCS. I'm in the process of removing famousbirthdays.com as a source from Wikipedia, because it's not reliable (See Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard/Archive_153#Is_famousbirthdays.com_a_reliable_source_for_personal_information). I noticed that you've added it, and wanted to make sure you understood why it's being removed. If you disagree, let's discuss it. Thanks. --Ronz (talk) 03:55, 24 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of interest policy edit

  Hello, EmvCS. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies.

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. --Ronz (talk) 16:29, 25 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

February 2018 edit

  Hello, I'm Karst. I noticed that you recently removed content from Børns without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Karst (talk) 22:22, 21 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

I came here for the same reason.
I know this article I'm using as an example is somewhat random, but take THIS EDIT on the Superorganism (band) page for example (and check out the admin's response to a user who attempted to make a similar edit to your's). In other words, what the artist "wants" is irrelevant. This is not their article, and this is not their site. I doubt artists want sections regarding controversy on their Wikipedia pages either.
AND, it's a bit rash to say such a thing without providing a source. Not that you CAN source revisions on Wikipedia. But seriously, can you point us in the direction of the subject outright SAYING the content on Wikipedia makes him uncomfortable? If you DO have a source in possession, by all means write about his fixation on privacy in the personal life section. No one on Wikipedia wants to limit your edits or silence your opinion, but it's just a legit reminder that, like I said before, an artist's "wants" are irrelevant. If you'd like to make it clear that Børns attempts to keep his private life private, than be WP:BOLD and explain this in the personal life. Say something like: "Børns wishes to keep his family life private." or "Purposely remains mysterious.", and then use the source I've been talking about. Cite your addition. Take it to the talk page too if it's this important to you. Thanks. -- AlexanderHovanec (talk) 23:30, 21 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Baby2Baby edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Baby2Baby, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Request reason:

We have carefully reviewed Wikipedia's guidelines and been educating ourselves on the correct process on how to edit and create Wikipedia articles, which we will do moving forward to the best of our ability. We understand the reasons for the block and are confident the mistakes will not happen again. Also, please note, the intention of our edits and additions to Wikipedia were never meant to be seen as promotional, but as a way to ensure the correct information is available on Wikipedia and was made in good faith. Though we are paid; we are not paid exclusively for Wikipedia edits, it was our understanding that we had to disclose this regardless. EmvCS (talk) 21:58, 10 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Accounts cannot be shared(you state "we" above); you will need to select a single individual to use this account. Please review conflict of interest and paid editing. Now that you know you won't be allowed to edit about your clients, what will you edit about instead? I must decline your request at this time. 331dot (talk) 22:12, 10 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Hi there! It was my understanding, as stated on the COI page, that "COI editors should not edit affected articles directly, but should propose changes on article talk pages instead," which is what I will do moving forward for editing purposes when it comes to clients. As for the paid-contribution disclosure, that is already disclosed on my user page. As for creating articles for clients, I will be putting them through the "articles for creation" process as outlined on that page. Please note, I do not only do edits/article creation for clients. I do them for a wide variety of articles. Also, apologies for the confusion and use of the word "we," there is only one person who uses this account. Thank you for your time, I've found Wikipedia to be confusing when it comes to learning the ins and outs and apologize for any confusion. -- EmvCS (talk) 20:53, 28 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Please see requirements for disclosing your paid editor status. You will need to maintain a complete list of all topics and articles you are paid to edit on—not merely that you're being paid to edit. Please add what you'd add to your user page here so we can see how you would comply with that policy. --slakrtalk / 07:36, 29 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
