Darkside edit

Hi Emilywaf, you have made some good improvements to the draft. I have to say that I agree that, at this point in time, you should merge this into a section on the main article until Darkside's notability grows. My advice would be to place a copy of your current draft somewhere in your userspace (I can help with this if you need a hand) and then copy and paste the relevant section into the main article. You can then keep working on your Darkside draft and when it's ready for an article in its own right you can create it. I am still happy to help in any way I can so please let me know if you need any assistance. Flat Out let's discuss it 23:58, 3 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hey Flat Out! Could you explain to me how to put something in my userspace? Thanks!
Hi Emily There is a down arrow on the menu at the top right of every page and if you click it a drop down menu appears and Move is an option. That is how you move an article but the trick is giving it the right name and file path so that it goes where you want it to go. I have done this for you. You have a talk page (which this message is on), and a user page which I created (see the User page tab top left). Your userpage is your own space and you can edit it and put pretty much whatever you wish. Have a look at what other editors use their space for if you want ideas. I have moved the Darkside draft to a subpage of your User page - the address is User:Emilywaf/Darkside and you can go there by following this wikilink User:Emilywaf/Darkside. Let me know if you have any questions Flat Out let's discuss it 23:52, 10 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
Hey Emily that draft is looking pretty good, do you think it's ready for mainspace? If you think it is ready you have two options: 1. move the article to mainspace and deal with any nominations for deltion if they arise. 2. Submit the page (there's a link in the userspace template at the top of the draft) and have it reviewed. The reviewer will pass it or fail it. If it fails they will say why and if it passes it greatly decreases the chances of it being successfully nominated for deletion. Itr can take many weeks for a review as the there is a backlog. Let em know what you think. Flat Out let's discuss it 00:03, 29 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
Hey Flat Out! Thanks for keeping tabs on the article. I really appreciate it. I do definitely think it's getting there. I'm a bit nervous that if I resubmit through the articles for creation it might get failed based on how many times it's already gone through. (I don't even know if that's a legitimate concern - maybe you have some insight?) But I do think that the article is definitely ready to be put out into the world. And as the band's profile keeps rising in major publications with the announcement of the the record, I think people will start looking for more information about them, so the sooner the better. If the article was potentially nominated for deletion, I think it would be able to pass the notability tests. Their notability has really increased in the past few weeks (convenient!), and I think it's very evident now through sources that this is a serious, full project that exists separately from Jaar's solo career. What do you think? Emilywaf (talk) 15:30, 29 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

September 2013 edit

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Chet Faker may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
 • several other artists since the release of his debut EP, including collaborations with Flume and remixes of songs by MS MR and Temper Trap. He was a featured vocalist

File permission problem with File:Sheila Vand, Academy Awards Party, February 2013.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Sheila Vand, Academy Awards Party, February 2013.jpg, which you've attributed to http://imagecollect.com/legal-doc/download-agreement. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

 • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
 • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add OTRS pending to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as non-free fair use or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mosmof (talk) 17:26, 12 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
