Hi.... I just reviewed the article you created on James E. Brewton. It looks good for a first article. There are a couple of things you might want to do next. First, Wikipedia relies on demonstrated notability. That is, the subject of the article should be noteworthy. This is demonstrated through in-text citations from 3rd party sources (see wp:cite). I think that the subject here is noteworthy, but the article would be enhanced by outside verification (newspaper or journal mentions) about his awards. The article now refers to the fact that he "...won awards and prizes..", but only lists one in the text. You might do well to list others. Second, and probably a small thing because the article is written with a neutral point of view, your username suggests that you are perhaps related to the subject. It is usually difficult for someone to write an unbiased article about someone to whom they are related. It's not forbidden, but you want to take care that the article sticks to facts without embelleshments. Which I think you've done very well thus far. Just my opinions and thoughts. Cheers! Help me! edit

Please help me with... Hello! I'd like to put a new article draft in my sandbox; do I delete the Marion Holland draft that's already there? I don't see how I do that; I'm sorry to be a bother, and thank you so much for your help. Here's the sandbox: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Emily_Brewton/sandbox&redirect=no Emily Brewton (talk) 17:39, 23 November 2022 (UTC) Emily Brewton (talk) 17:39, 23 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

The short answer is yes! If you follow the link you gave, you should be able to edit the page, and then it's just a case of removing the redirect and adding your new content. If you don't want the redirect in the page's history, you are welcome to use {{db-g7}} on the page to request it be deleted first. A third option for you is to create a new sandbox, either at something generic like User:Emily Brewton/sandbox 2 or something related to the subject you wish to write about, such as User:Emily Brewton/Joe Bloggs. If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, or Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 17:51, 23 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
