Disambiguation link notification for April 9 edit

Hi. When you recently edited Fadi Merza, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Austrian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Warning edit

Wikipedians are expected to adhere to the wp:NPOV policy. Edits such as this clearly violate that policy. If you continue making such edits you may be blocked from editing. Thank you. Pass a Method talk 01:55, 3 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

I prefer to keep conversations in one place.
that edit violates our neutral point of view policy. Its okay to call it "Syriac-majority" or "Syriac-speaking" but its not okay to call the city itself "Syriac". Cities are made of bricks and mortar. Are you going to say that cement can form an ethnicity or language. it makes no sense. Pass a Method talk 02:13, 3 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
Hi Elvis214. Allow me to apologize for Pass a Method. He's... a little bit different from most editors here. Anyway, it looks like he made a mistake, in that apparently he objects to the city being called "Syriac", which is precisely what you reverted in the edit he referenced above, so it looks like he just made a mistake.
Don't worry about him saying stuff like "Cities are made of bricks and mortar" and so forth. We're not going to remove the demographic and population sections from our articles on cities! Don't worry, you're not going to be "blocked from editing"! Pass a Method is not an admin and can't block anyone. I apologize for him on behalf of the Wikipedia. Let me know if he bothers you anymore. Cheers and happy Wiki'ing, Herostratus (talk) 03:06, 3 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Shlomo Elvis, while I do share your enthusiasm, this is just a decision, it still requires ratification and will probably face stiff resistance from various political groups. I suggest you revert your own edits.--Kathovo talk 00:07, 22 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading File:Logo of the Syriac Military Council.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Proposed deletion of Sammy Merza edit

The article Sammy Merza has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable boxer who never even challenged for a minor title. There are passing mentions, such as this, this and this, but they do not come close to meeting WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
