Picture of Saint Rafqa edit

Greetings, Ellie plus! I just saw that you uploaded a picture of St. Rafqa to both Wikipedia and theworkofgodschildren.org. Is the picture in the public domain? JBogdan (talk) 19:01, 16 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I believe Jesus released this into the public domain, the only copyrighted material in the catholic church are representationsons of pope Benedict Eli+ 19:24, 16 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
The New American Bible and the Roman Rite Sacramentary are copyrighted too. If I recall correctly, most encyclicals, books written by popes for publication by companies other than the Holy See, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church are also. Do you know where the picture is from? JBogdan (talk) 12:38, 18 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I do have the website, yes, i will rewrite the source on the description section. Eli+ 16:58, 18 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Main page appearance edit

Hello! This is a note to let the main editors of this article know that it will be appearing as the main page featured article on January 27, 2011. You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/January 27, 2011. If you think it is necessary to change the main date, you can request it with the featured article director, Raul654 (talk · contribs). If the previous blurb needs tweaking, you might change it—following the instructions of the suggested formatting. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page so Wikipedia doesn't look bad. :D Thanks! Overzealous Deletion edit

Please read this before deleting sections from the Christian terrorism article. There is no consensus for your actions, and to delete large chunks of an article like this violates the Bold, Revert, Discuss principle of Wikipedia. --rpeh •TCE 04:44, 22 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Christian terrorism edit

I do not think that arbitration could be used at this point. We need to first establish what the consensus is, and make the necessary changes. If editors are obstructive against the consensus, then we could look into other remedies. TFD (talk) 16:28, 22 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

List of caves in Lebanon edit

Hi Eli, Thanks for the welcome to WP:LEB. I hope you don't mind my addition of my Nachcharini to your List of caves in Lebanon. I'm hoping to create more Lebanese archaeological sites from French literature soon and finding someone with similar interests at heart seems fortuitous! I am looking to improve our knowledge and potential for further investigation in this area after field-walking a massive PPNB/Neolithic site in the Rashaya Basin in 2009. Please feel free to add your touch to anything I create (along with Nachcharini, Jebal Saaidé and Moukhtara, soon to start 'Ammiq) and likewise, let me know if you need any help with anything. Shmuel Moreh edit

Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Shmuel Moreh. The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:10, 1 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:AbuChabkeh 919840469.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:AbuChabkeh 919840469.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. GFOLEY FOUR— 22:14, 20 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Solidere.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Solidere.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Killiondude (talk) 07:13, 14 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Block message:

The IP address that you are currently using has been blocked because it is believed to be an open or anonymizing proxy, such as a VPN service. To prevent abuse, these proxies may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

If you are using an open proxy or VPN service, you will need to disable it or turn it off in order to edit Wikipedia.

If you believe you are not using an anonymizing proxy, the most likely cause is that another customer using your IP address who was previously assigned this IP address was running an open proxy. You may appeal this block by adding the following text on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. My IP address is _______. Place any further information here. ~~~~}}. You must fill in the blank with your IP address for this block to be investigated. Your IP address can be determined here. Alternatively, if you wish to keep your IP address private you can use the Unblock Ticket Request System.

More rarely, your network equipment or that of your service provider may be misconfigured or compromised by malicious software (such as a virus). For more information, see the WikiProject on Open Proxies.

Administrators: The IP block exemption user right should only be applied to allow users to edit using an open or anonymizing proxies in exceptional circumstances, and they should usually be directed to the functionaries team via email. If you intend to give the IPBE user right, a CheckUser needs to take a look at the account. This can be requested most easily at SPI Quick Checkuser Requests. Unblocking an IP or IP range with this template is highly discouraged without at least contacting the blocking administrator.

Accept reason: I'm just going to go ahead and give you an IP block exemption, since you've edited for long enough without any problems. — Daniel Case (talk) 16:54, 23 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

IP block exempt edit

I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.

Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.

Note in particular that you are not permitted to use this newly-granted right to edit Wikipedia via anonymous proxies, or disruptively. If you do, or there is a serious concern of abuse, then the right may be removed by any administrator.

Appropriate usage and compliance with the policy may be checked periodically, due to the nature of block exemption, and block exemption will be removed when no longer needed (for example, when the block it is related to expires).

I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. Daniel Case (talk) 16:54, 23 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification edit

Hi. When you recently edited Marco Augusto Dueñas, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Cordoba and Vatican (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:38, 23 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Seyrig.gif edit

Thanks for uploading File:Seyrig.gif. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) 00:07, 31 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
