Orphaned non-free media (Image:Softbulletin.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Softbulletin.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 06:11, 24 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Terror4.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Terror4.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 12:09, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Kbylake.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Kbylake.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 12:20, 18 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

A Gentle Reminder edit

Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, your recent edits on Feb 19, as you did to Literature of Singapore‎, did not appear to conform with Wikipedia policies and guidelines:

  • No edit summary: This is considered an important guideline. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you amend or delete any content; otherwise, people may question your motives for the edit i.e. likely vandals or trolls.
  • Adding or amending content without citing a reliable source, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Material that is unsourced or poorly sourced will be reverted or removed by other editors or administrators later. Read here for help on citing sources.

Kindly note. -- Aldwinteo (talk) 07:12, 19 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Disembowelling Brecht edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Disembowelling Brecht, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.dialecticrealm.com/music/brecht.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Mooncake (Band) edit

The article Mooncake (Band) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 17:00, 30 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Mooncake band, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. NawlinWiki (talk) 17:26, 30 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
