Data edit

I am not "starting with this". A perfectly grammatical statement was "corrected" by another user, and I restored it. What's the problem? Specifically, why are you ragging on me taking me to task and not the other editor? -- Elphion (talk) 13:07, 18 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Apologies: it has come to my attention that the slang phrase struck above may have a sexist origin, which (a) I was not aware of, and (b) does not reflect my intent. -- Elphion (talk) 17:49, 18 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

I did not know about a sexist origin to that phrase either. No offense taken. However, you must be perfectly aware of the everlasting “data is” vs. “data are” war. No one is ever convinced of the other side’s position, and no good comes of it. I didn’t notice the earlier edit; if I had I might have done the same as you regardless of my own correct opinion. El Mariachi (talk) 06:27, 20 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

I was blissfully unaware of the data war. Will avoid contributing to it in the future. -- Elphion (talk) 11:05, 20 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:Shredded wheat in a bowl.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Shredded wheat in a bowl.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. WP:NPA edit

Hello, I'm 190.45.93.157. I noticed that you made a comment on the page Habanero that didn't seem very civil, so it has been removed. Wikipedia is built on collaboration, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. False accusations of vandalism are disruptive and deeply insulting. You can disagree with an edit if you like, and if you seriously believe for whatever reason that it is so bad it needs to be reverted entirely, then do so, and most importantly, explain why. Don't ever make false accusations of vandalism while doing so. 190.45.93.157 (talk) 05:17, 1 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disambiguation link notification for May 31 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Cocoa High School, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bob Anderson. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
