Coinage shapes edit

Welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for your work on Coinage shapes. I'm the guy who started the article. In the lead it says, "This article focuses on circulating coins". You've added a but of stuff about coins of unusual shapes, but that really is beyond the scope of the article. We could change the scope, but that would be a discussion for the article talk page. I'm inclined to think the non-circulating coins should just be removed. StAnselm (talk) 17:01, 9 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your appreciation and mentioning the page is intended for circulating coins, I guess I got carried away in my enthusiasm. I moved all the non-circulating coins to a new section at the end of the page. For the time being I'll add at the beginning of the article that non-circulating examples can be found at the end of the page. The name of the page doesn't imply only circulating coins should be mentioned there. Another option would be to create separate pages for both circulating and non-circulating coins, yet then there should be a reference to that in the name of such pages I think. I don't know wether the California gold coins (that I didn't mention myself) were intended to circulate or not, I cannot find these on Numista. In the mean time I also added some more coins, a large square coin (Aruba) and some coins with large holes.
