Well, we pulled it off!
The House and Senate are now back in Democratic control... I'm glad to see that Colorado elected a Democratic governor and the blue tide swept the gubernatorial races nationwide, well, except for California... Now it's off to Denver in 2008 with our first steps towards regaining the presidency! --Folksong 08:56, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

It's the beginning of something really great; a new chapter for history to record, and one which I anticipate to be one of America's finest. I think that one of the most critical points in this election cycle has been the fact that we haven't wavered in this fight. Through it all; Kerry's botched joke, GOP mud-slinging, the pundits slamming us, all of it was just another speed bump that we took with stride. I understand what you're going through.. it seems that Wikipedia is being "Freeped" by a bunch of conservatives who feel that the NPOV policies of Wikipedia aren't NPOV since they are not sympathetic enough to their conservative viewpoint, which they hold testamount to divine revelation. The good thing is that their edits aren't widely tolerated, but they do make the business of editing and improving articles much more difficult. --Folksong 03:14, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

You've got that all the way. Everything gets more complicated for the opposition when they go down, so they look for somebody or something to slam. It's something that we, both as Americans and as civil folks, have to just deal with and get past. I'd like to hope that these people (who lean so far to the right that the center is left in their POV) could learn their lessons eventually, but eventually is never soon enough. - Wow. Anyone who points out that your editing is clearly not NPOV is a stupid republican? Sorry to disappoint, but: I'm a staunch Democrat, read DailyKos and Billmon daily, am giddy after our win this past election day, and can't wait for 2008! I am also an academic and try to hold Wikipedia up to its own standards. Cutting and pasting article material directly from a politician's website is both plagiarism and not writing from a neutral point of view. Can you really claim otherwise? You're putting words in my mouth, rather on my keyboard, and I'm not willing to participate in stupid banter with you or anyone. - FYI, academics pick fights all the time, especially over trivial details. Just read about nomenclature for naming plant species or some of the debates on whether Pluto should be called a planet, to name two off the cuff examples. But that is neither here nor there. If you aren't a plagiarist (and I'm willing to believe that you aren't) then you wrote the copy for Bill Ritter's personal website and shouldn't be editing his Wikipedia page (personal research, NPOV, etc.). You're obviously a more sensible editor keen to the way we do things around here as opposed to your "anarchist liberal" buddy. I am not a plagiarist, a shill, etc. I will drop by the article as soon as I get the chance to re-write a perfectly good section that has been in question this whole time. FYI, I never wanted to participate, start or create any animosity here and feel that all this has been wrongfully dropped in my lap to deal with. Wrongful persecution and slander of my good name here on the 'pedia is a tough image to break; whereas the article could just be re-written as many times as we please. The heading on Category:People from Seattle says:
The people listed below were born in, residents of, or otherwise closely associated with the city of Seattle, Washington, and its metropolitan area...
Cobain certainly qualifies under that definition. If you feel the category definition is faulty, it may be worth discussing it on the Category talk page. -- ChrisB 20:17, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
