Section headings

Hi there. I've recently come across a lot of articles that you have created. Good work!

Going forward, could you please use the standard headings as Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Players? As you're probably aware, being a veteran editor, it's the result of past discussions of the community of football editors at Wikipedia:WikiProject Football. Specifically:

  • The heading for a player's statistics tables is "Career statistics", not "Statistics",
  • If a player has not worked as a manager or coach and they have not played for a national team, the heading for their career should be "Career", not "Playing career".

Bill Hopkins (footballer, born 1888)

Hello. Not sure why you'd want to add a stats site to Mr Hopkins' infobox as a source for birth and death places, when they're already reliably sourced in the body of the article... cheers, Struway2 (talk) 13:11, 1 November 2022 (UTC)

Ah so it is. It is great to see such a detailed and well written article for a 1920s footballer.--EchetusXe 13:28, 1 November 2022 (UTC)

Jack Stephens

Stephens is on a season-long loan to Port Vale. Is there any point in having a row in the table for his Oxford appearances that is just a row of zeroes? If he's recalled to Oxford, the row can be added, but I don't see the point of it at the moment. Dave.Dunford (talk) 10:51, 12 December 2022 (UTC)

So if he returns to Oxford at the end of the season and plays for them next season then his stats table for Oxford will go from 2020-21 straight to 2022-23, isn't that counter intuitive? He is contracted to Oxford and holds their #1 jersey, so why would a loan spell away mean there isn't a row in his Oxford stats? Besides which, he was named on the substitute bench for Oxford already this season, hence a non-playing appearance on his Soccerway page. EchetusXe 11:32, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
