AfD nomination edit

Hi. I see you had a go at nominating The Drying Pole for deletion. I've fixed the Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/The_Drying_Pole page manually (I cheated by cut-pasting from a correctly-formatted AfD page and editing it) but please note you do not need to create the AfD page manually. Simply

  1. put {{afd}} on the article itself, save it then
  2. follow the redlink which appears in the AfD box on the article. Then, rather than creating the content manually, put {{subst:afd2|pg=PAGE|text=WHY}} into that page, replacing "PAGE" with the page name (for instance The Drying Pole) and WHY with your reason(s) for nomination. The {{afd2}} tag will put all the clever stuff in for you. Finally
  3. add the page to today's AfD log either manually or by putting {{subst:afd3|pg=PAGE}} at the bottom (again, replace PAGE with the article you're nominating).

Hope that helps! Tonywalton  | Talk 16:26, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Cars included in Gran Turismo 4 edit

Hmmm. As they say, Wikipedia isn't paper. You might consider that it's listcruft but who knows, perhaps somebody might find it useful. Any encyclopædia that can keep List of Experiments could probably keep the one on GT4. I would suggest though that it be renamed "List of cars included in Gran Turismo 4" as that's what it is - a list. That's only my opinion though; the idea of nominating things for AfD is to open up debate from a larger number of contributors so it might be a good idea to do so. There's no shame in nominating something in good faith then finding consensus goes for "keep". Regards, Tonywalton  | Talk 12:08, 28 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Drying pole again edit

By the way, please don't pre-empt the result of an AfD debate in future. Unless consensus is to speedy keep or speedy delete an article the debate should remain open for 5 days. You redirected the The Drying Pole article after only four, with the debate still open. No harm done in this case, as it appears that no-one was interested in adding anything to the debate, but please be aware of the process in future. Thanks. AfD edit

You seem to quite misunderstand wikipedia's deletion policies. Please review its section, "Problem articles where deletion may not be needed" `'mikka 03:35, 14 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

I also meant to your nomination Land of the Midnight Sun. Where are you suggesting to merge it? `'mikka 03:44, 14 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • just wondering how to split my page vertically so it looks something like this
    • headline
    • stuff
    • stuff
    • headline
    • userboxes
    • headline
    • userboxes

Every time i try, the user boxes crowd to the left, and the headlines bunch to the right. I figure there's an easy way to code it, i just dont know what it is. any tips would be great DurinsBane87 02:47, 21 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry I haven't been around much to help out with the Zelda Races. I've been quite busy recently, and haven't had much of a chance. If you are still working on it when things settle down a bit, I'll come help. Unoriginal Username 22:21, 30 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Places in OoT edit

Yeah, I really need to sleep - but basically, it should be organized by region, and each entry should be about two or three lines.

Also, the Lake Hylia locales can be collapsed - "Fishing Pond" and "Lakeside Laboratory" are almost sufficiently self-descriptive.

And most of the links need to be fixed so that they are not double-redirects.KrytenKoro 08:48, 8 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the Barnstar!KrytenKoro 07:30, 9 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
I've done all that I really want to do with that article. What's left is:
  1. Gerudo Fortress, probably including Gerudo Training Grounds (as that's pretty much what the Fortress IS - the archery range is for training, and the fortress is a container for the grounds)
  2. Clean up Ice Cavern and Zora's Domain to fit the pattern the other sections have.
  3. The name for each area needs to be bolded, like was done for the Forest Temple and such (not the header, but in the paragraph).
Thanks for bringing the article to my attention.KrytenKoro 05:41, 11 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Oh...OOHH! Damnit, I wasn't clear what article I wanted help on - the places one. That's why I was confused. Ha. Sorry about the confusion, then.KrytenKoro 06:41, 12 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
I would keep a mention to the Poe quest, and minor mentionss of the other "collectibles" (though not under that title - quest items is what the game calls it, and equipment what it calls the weapons). But yeah, overall, good work. I guess I'll try to help on that page to, even though I wasn't planning on it.KrytenKoro 06:44, 12 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
