Proposed deletion of Wang Ju-Rong edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Wang Ju-Rong, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Re: Camp X edit

Hi, our guidelines for external links are here: WP:EL. If you feel that the camp x historical society website (or any other website in any Wikipedia article) does not meet these guidelines please feel free to remove the link. I blacklisted the camp-x.com website back in December 2009 after someone, who I assumed to be the site owner, had intermittently over the previous 4 years spammed it and the book adverts onto a number of Wikipedia articles, including the Camp X article. As the edits were often not logged in, and from a number of IPs it was difficult to try to talk directly to the person who was doing it, so I decided that blacklisting the website was less damaging to Wikipedia than applying protection to the article. I see that you have requested removal from the blacklist and, although I do not think that this website meets our external links guidelines, I will defer to any decision made there. —Jeremy (talk) 01:44, 13 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

I blocked the website after it was spammed to a number of articles across Wikipedia; for just one example see these edits: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/209.29.159.81 The response to your request at MediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist was a suggestion that you request the link be added to the whitelist for just the Camp X article. My personal opinion is that the external link does not meet the guidelines for external links here, but if you do, you can request whitelisting for the camp X article.—Jeremy (talk) 17:54, 4 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
