December 2009 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Carlee Hoffman has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://carleehoffman.blogspot.com (matching the regex rule \bblog(?:cu|fa|harbor|mybrain|post|savy|spot|townhall)?\.com\b). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 02:51, 11 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Copyright problems edit

Your addition to Druid Hills Golf Club has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images.   Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from File:Dekalb County School System Logo.jpg. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Blocked edit

After reviewing all of the warnings above, you appear to have a fairly severe disconnect with copyright. Your recent additions to Morgan's Wonderland‎‎ have been lifted directly from other sources. As this is an ongoing problem and previous warnings and blocks have had no affect, I have blocked this account indefinitely until you can offer an explanation for your actions and a plan for correcting this in the future. I have been having problems citing a few pictures I uploaded. When I upload the picture on the new picture up load page the wrong citation get added. When I fixe the citation with the right corisponding one the picture will still be still be deleated based on the intial upload problem. As for the picture problems I feel it is only a minior and I should not have been blocked on the bases of the problems. I emediantly noticed the wrong copyright and fixed it. If the post would properly reconized the change the post would have been sufficient enough to meed US Copyright Laws. As for the resion giving for being blocked based on passed problems out of my control is unfare and shold be unblocked.
As with recent additions to Morgan's Wonderland‎‎ causing my account to be block indefinitely I take full responibility for actions. I did not know that I was posting in violation of Wikipedia's copyright regulations even after citing my sources. Furthermore if my account is allowed to be unblocked I viow to: * Beter understand the rulls and regulations befor posting * Make sure my sorces are properly cited * Problems with my posting out of my control a reported asap * Review my post to make sure they an in my own words and do look like I just copy and posted directly from the sorce(s) cited.

Per comments below. I would also suggest that your English may not be as good as it needs to be for you to edit here. Perhaps you would be more comfortable editing in your native language? — Daniel Case (talk) 17:51, 20 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

I don't understand posting "out of your control"? You're responsible for all edits from this account ... what do you mean "out of your control"? (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 10:40, 20 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
Perhaps you can also explain how it is that you "did not know that [you were] posting in violation of Wikipedia's copyright regulations", despite the fact that you had been receiving messages about this over a period of two years. (Incidentally, it is not a question of "violation of Wikipedia's copyright regulations": it is a question of breaking the law.) JamesBWatson (talk) 14:55, 20 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

I have relised that serveral of my pictures that I have uploaded my have been against copyright law. An the other hand the mojority of them were not. Under Wikipedia's new photo uploader the photo may have been uploaded under the wrong copyright and automaticly flaged for deleation. The the copyright was changed to the proper licicing copyright the photo remained flaged based on the origional copyright mistakenly uploaded under not taken into account the change to the new proper liceing copyright. The result was the uploaded photos were constantly deleated. I did however did not have this problem before wikipedia instituted the new photo uploader. I do understand that caopyright infrengment of photo uploading was a maojor problem on Wikipeadia. I do understand the need to deter the problem from accuring and the new photo uploader was a nessury implamentation. Druidhills (talk) 00:00, 13 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

The tool did not upload copyrighted images; YOU uploaded them. Very disingenuous to suggest that the uploader was at all responsible for personally putting this project at legal risk by uploading things that YOU did not hold the copyright to (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 09:01, 13 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

I am formanly requesting to be unblocked on the bases the I am fully awear of all copyright laws. That posting material such as photos that I do not have permision to from the orignial producer of said photo. I will not post photos containing a logo or logo its self of a company, organization, nonprofite etc. without the direct permision of said group or oranization that holds the origional copyright on the logo. I understand that posting a photo or logo I did not take myself or get permision is a violation of copyright law. I also undertand that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia just like any printed encylopedia such as The World Book and follows the same copyright laws. By posting the photos/logos to Wikipedia I could have or did put Wikipedia at risk of lowsuite ect. If allowed to be unblocked I promise to follow the pricedures and guidlines put into place when post photos/logos to Wikipedia to insure they are not illegally posted. If I have a question wheather or not there could be issuer concerning photos/logos if post I will reframe from a not post them at all. Druidhills (talk) 03:34, 22 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

It's not just images. This looks like a copyright violation too. In fact, just about all of your edits are in much better English than your discussion on this page, which makes me suspect everything you have done here has been copied from elsewhere. Someone is going to have to examine all of your edits now, and remove all of the problematic ones. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 17:47, 22 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (File:Dekalb County School System Logo.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading File:Dekalb County School System Logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:12, 19 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Better source request for some of your uploads edit

Thanks for your uploads to Wikipedia. There is an issue with some of them, specifically:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the images because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the images, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image files themselves. Please update the image descriptions with URLs that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 21:18, 21 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of International Child Amputee Network edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on International Child Amputee Network, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Proposed deletion of Thunder in the Valley Games edit

The article Thunder in the Valley Games has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication subject meets WP:GNG

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Image source problem with File:Empire State Games Collage.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Empire State Games Collage.jpg.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F4 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:32, 12 March 2023 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 13:32, 12 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
