I want to add pages related in Bitcoin India, Like meetups, Startups, Bitcoin videos in India etc edit

Started of with listing startup, 1st one "Coinsecure" ended up as bad idea.. How do I start? Should I directly edit relevant pages? or Copy authentic information from known websites and news media? Droidmaxxx (talk) 13:45, 1 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia content should be based on what reliable third-party sources such as the Hindu Businessline or the Economic Times have reported about the company. There are such sources discussing Coinsecure in some detail, for example this Economic Times article, but they mostly just mention the company in passing while discussing something else. Going by the sources I found, I do not think Coinsecure is covered in enough detail to meet Wikipedia's standards of notability; see particularly WP:CORPDEPTH.
Copying information, however, is problematic on copyright grounds; it may well be considered a copyright violation. You shouldn't copy-paste, but summarize in your own words what the sources report. Huon (talk) 20:02, 1 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Coinsecure edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Coinsecure, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Proposed deletion of Coinsecure edit

The article Coinsecure has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article literally rests on one-line mention in Economic Times -- other cites are routine listings, reporting on startup funding, non-RS Bitcoin blogs. Fails WP:CORP.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Droidmaxxx. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Coinsecure, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. K.e.coffman (talk) 00:34, 25 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Coinsecure edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Coinsecure requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. March 2017 edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Guy (Help!) 19:16, 26 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Literally the only thing you have ever done at Wikipedia is promote coinsecure and argue with people who have tried to stop you doing that. Guy (Help!) 19:21, 26 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Nope I'm not! That's the only company I knew of back when I started adding Bitcoin India related pages. I've contributed on Bitcoin Legality and also on moderator of Bitcointalks forum in India. It's been a long time and I'll be contributing more in rise of the latest updates on going in India about Bitcoin and regulatory frameworks in the recent weeks. Zebpay is already listed however I see Unocoin and a few others are still missing. Humble request please unblock I will add up the relevant resources. Just another guy contributing to Wiki with Good will. Not advertising or in any way related to any of these companies. Just another Bitcoin guy from the IRC's Droidmaxxx (talk) 19:30, 26 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Yes, you are. I reviewed every single one of your 48 edits, and there is only one that is not directly connected to Coinsecure. You have to address the reason for block, not deny it. You have to show us that you understand why you were block and is that wrong. Vanjagenije (talk) 20:34, 26 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Yes! Understood. I'm trying to do that. I logged in after a long time to update legality status in India. Saw my previous contributions had been deleted and ended up fixing those first had to individually sit and link up references with noted news mentions etc. I thought I fixed that right. And then moved on to updating Bitcoin Country wise Legality even before the page was deleted this time. Regarding the 48 edits yes my mistake most of those edits are me ending up fixing deleted page issue or other flags for valid references and updating my contribution (Coinsecure) that's the only think I got notification for!! And also the only organisation I was aware of when I started. I was actually happy with my contributions this time I learned more about various Wikipedia formatting etc and was about to update Zebpay, Unocoin and other Bitcoin and Blockchain organisations in India to add them on Wikipedia as well. I fully understand that my edits look like I'm spamming or trying to advertise one specific organisation but I'm not! Even before I could start adding more contributions in the proper WIKI rules and formats after having learnt basics of wiki and how to go about actually contributing content in the right way, I got blocked again and it's my fault. I really want to contribute here and I learnt from my mistakes the hard way. I know you have docs for a reason but it seems too complicated when I started off initially. I know I've been a pain to you mods and admins no doubt you guys are doing a great job maintaining the content. :) Maybe someday I'll get better at Wiki and help others not anytime soon tho. So finally coming back to my request. Please consider and unblock me. I'll be extra careful henceforth and contribute as much possible. Sorry for the long write up! I tried my best to explain. Droidmaxxx (talk) 23:38, 26 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

I'm afraid you show no sign of understanding the reason for the block, which makes it impossible to have any confidence that you won't do the same again. You started off posting absolutely blatant advertising copy, such as "We are a team of passionate Bitcoin enthusiasts who have come together to build some amazing products to make it easier for Bitcoin users across India" and "All the information needed to trade effectively is at your fingertips", together with links to your web site and a statement of your "fees". When it was made clear to you that that sort of thing was not acceptable, you somewhat toned down the language you used, and for the most part used "they" instead of "we", but you still posted content which was perfectly obviously written to give a favourable impression of the single business you wrote about, and from time to time you still included the same kind of blatant marketing language as before, such as "thanks to a stellar team, we have a secure, fast and easy Exchange in place" and "an expert trader!" (Your exclamation mark.) If you can continually produce nothing but stuff that looks exactly as though it is written by a marketing professional working for a company, and still claim that your writing is not promotional, then either you are being dishonest or you are so blind to the nature of your own writing that it is unlikely you will ever be able to contribute in the neutral way required. In either of those two cases unblocking you would not help the project. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 20:35, 29 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

@JamesBWatson: Sir You are reviewing a older version of my contributions 2015 and early 2016! It was more or less copy pasted from websites and news articles as I wasn't aware of the way. Like I already explained I've done my homework and now fully understand the way contributions are supposed to be done. I'm reading up other references and articles on Wiki tried to gather as much facts. In fact the latest version was in par with all wiki standards to my best of knowledge. Again I'm not here to waste your time. Request you to kindly view the most latest version! It's no where to be found on Wiki. But here's a cached version on Google as on 25 Mar 2017 15:54:48 GMT. If this does prove that I've improved from a total lost person to a beginner level wiki contributor. I'll just have to go do more homework and learn more on wiki. Thanks for the time and patience.

Edit: To support the fact that I actually was dumb enough to copy paste the "an expert trader!" Here's the NewsBTC article from 2015. Exact same wording! Yes I was that dumb.

"We are a team of passionate Bitcoin enthusiasts who have come together to build some amazing products to make it easier for Bitcoin users across India." Copied again from the Coinsecure's About us page. I foolishly added that as a direct definition of the Company elsewhere maybe some startup site it made sense to do so. But I realized later on that wiki is not meant to be posting stuff like this.

Please check the latest cached version on Google I hope you are able to see my legitimate dumbness! I'm trying to improve. I might as well just create a new account but I'm not doing that. I don't want to be a pain. I know it's going to get deleted again. Hopefully someone else puts it up someday! Most likely I'll just end up researching some other topic to contribute on Wiki. So I'm trying to reason out here and explain myself.
