I'm new to this - what is this page and why did someone post that post above on this page within minutes of me opening my account here?

Dummy edits edit

Note that your recent edit to Wii added a blank line where there was previously no blank line, creating a new paragraph and visible extra space. If you every have to make another dummy edit, make sure you add a blank line to a place where there is already exactly 1 blank line. -- Meni Rosenfeld (talk) 06:03, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, there were 2 blank lines. Again, though, there needs to be only 1. -- Meni Rosenfeld (talk) 06:06, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Looks like I'm tired myself! There was just 1 blank line, but the table structure complicated matters. So I guess the best suggestion is to just check with your eyes that the white space does not increase when you make a dummy edit. Sorry for all the confusion. -- Meni Rosenfeld (talk) 06:11, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for that. Of course, in future I will always remember to use the Edit Summary to avoid this :p I appreciate all your help and it's exciting to be part of this community at last (long time reader and anonymous proof-reader). Drahmad 06:26, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I hope you will enjoy it! (I've taken the liberty of indenting your reply by adding a colon). -- Meni Rosenfeld (talk) 06:36, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for teaching me these neat tricks! Drahmad 06:53, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
