I feel like a am being bullied cos am new, by celtic and dundee unt fans because they know that I am a gers man. My article has a banner on it, and I feel like there all grumpy and tryiong to scare me off. What can I do? I am doing this cos I love the gers and I want to stop the spam from celtic fans, but IO feel like am being bulied......

Even they make sarcastic things like "we're glad your here" aye, right! then they say I dont have referenses on my articles.

Douglas1690 (talk) 00:05, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I assume Dexter Peeps is the article, right? You're not being bulled, but it's more of that's not the type of material we desperately need. But tags aren't new either, as some of the articles I've created were tagged, and I'm not new. Articles are tagged here everyday, whether you like it or now. And what is that source? BoL (Talk) 00:28, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
And as for the references, they are usually links. If it's a book, it has to be real. BoL (Talk) 00:29, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Just thought i'd reply to your help desk comment: yes, this is voluntary. you dont get paid for editing here. Ironholds 00:05, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

thats fine I am doing this as I love the gers, am going to get my pal though! LOL windo Douglas1690 (talk) 00:08, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Fair enough then. The big tag "the free encyclopedia" on the front should really have been a hint :P. In regard to your userpage; "no fenians"? kind of offensive, you might want to take it down if you want to be taken seriously. and ditto with spelling "allowed" correctly. thanks.Ironholds 00:10, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
I removed "no fenians aloud" from your user page. You're free to add it back, but I'd advise against it as it could be considered offensive. Racial/sectarian slurs are not really a good idea here. Enjoy editing! Fribbler (talk) 00:18, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
it SAYS MY PAGE AND BE BOLD !  ! ! !! ! Douglas1690 (talk) 00:25, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
That doesnt mean you can post whatever you want. And i wasnt being sarcastic or trying to be funny; similar with the "welcome" tag above which you took offence to, i was being serious. Ironholds 00:26, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Just to quote the relevant material about offensive userpage content: "You do have more latitude in user space than elsewhere, but don't be inconsiderate. Extremely offensive material may be removed on sight by any editor." Ironholds 00:28, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

(after ec)(outdent) Be BOLD on editing articles, naturally; but your userpage should show your interests on wikipedia. And only that. Illustrating prejudice/racism/sectarianism will attract unwanted attention. That is, people will scrutinise every edit you make if you appear to be a racist/bigot. You don't want that attention. Imagine this is a job interview, in a way, it's best to say what you're good at, rather than stating prejudices...you wouldn't get the job then, would you? :-) Fribbler (talk) 00:34, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Actually in certain jobs in the West of Scotland, it probably would. But thats beside the point. Douglas1690. You are welcome to edit here, which is why I left that message, but please be aware that Wikipedia is not an extension of the Celtic/Rangers enmity. Here Old Firm fans work together, not against each other. So please leave the FTP nonsense at the door. Rockpocket 00:56, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
