I'm a walk talking black metal wiki, I know more than you in black metal

Your sources about this band edit

You need to have this discussion on the talk page of the article, rather than engaging in an edit war, attacking other editors, and deleting entire sections of articles, including sources. Clearly this is a controversial subject, which is why you have to go about this in the correct way, and seek consensus. Also, it appears the source you are citing is a user-generated wiki, which generally should not be used as sources for Wikipedia as they are not WP:VERIFIABLE I have no personal opinion on it and I know little about the subject being discussed- all I know is you are being very disrespectful to other editors. --FPTI (talk) 05:14, 29 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

the wiki I was scouring is a trusted metal wiki it works pretty much exactly the same way as this one. But it's exclusively for metal bands DoomWizard666 (talk) 05:23, 29 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
I see that. So, the thing about Wikipedia is that we really like our sources to be verifiable- and wikis are not verifiable, because anyone can edit them. Imagine if Wikipedia cited Wikipedia as a source, that would just be going around in circles! I recommend you read up on what Wikipedia considers reliable sources. The best sources are pieces of scholarship- essays, books, articles- published and second-guessed by another person. And as you can see regarding Burzum, there are already a number of such sources cited-- one of the big problems is you kept deleting them. --FPTI (talk) 05:29, 29 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
ahhh thank you again for clearing stuff up. I'm very grateful for your help is their any way I can give you like a star or something, and I will get some proper scourse. And dose a direct quote count? DoomWizard666 (talk) 05:32, 29 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
I'm very deep into this subgenre and many of sources are very small articles/books would they count? DoomWizard666 (talk) 05:33, 29 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hey bro its me again and i was reading some of the scorced articles and i would like to request an very slight edit. Burzum is a pardox of a band it represents no political meaning but the artist behind the band is NS, its a massive debate in the community if burzum is NSBM or not. If you can do this fantastic if not i totally understand. And i used sourse A and 21 it the article. DoomWizard666 (talk) 05:58, 29 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
