February 2011 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I have noticed that some of your recent genre changes have conflicted with our neutral point of view and verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you to seek consensus for certain edits. Thank you. Guerillero | My Talk 01:49, 14 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please stop editing U2 articles to add redirect link or dubious music genres. You are doing more harm than good. FYI, a song being a ballad does not make it soft rock, so do not add that to any more articles. Y2Kcrazyjoker4 (talkcontributions) 01:59, 14 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

I know that a song being a ballad does not automatically make it soft rock, but the ballads which I edited just happened to be soft rock songs.

Notify about 3RR edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Google Street View. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.

In particular, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Mo ainm~Talk 10:27, 3 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your help edit

I very much appreciate your help with fixing various things in the new splitoff articles from Google Street View.

This is your last warning. The next time you violate Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy by inserting unsourced or poorly sourced defamatory or otherwise controversial content into an article or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Julian Assange, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. The Mark of the Beast (talk) 05:15, 1 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please stop posting nonsense categories to Julian Assange. Why would you ever possibly post that he's an indigenous Australian? I gave you a final warning above. Do it again and I'll report you for vandalism. The Mark of the Beast (talk) 05:58, 1 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

It says in the article that he claims to be of French and Torres Strait Islander ancestry, and since there's no category specifically for Torres Strait Islander people or people of Torres Strait Islander descent, I put him in the "Indigenous Australian people" category since Torres Strait Islanders and mainland Aborigines are both indigenous peoples of Australia. Therefore he is partially of indigenous Australian descent. Djodjo666 (talk) 01:04, 1 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please be considerate of formatting when you are adding that table to various cities. Nomination of Timeline of Google Street View for deletion edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Timeline of Google Street View is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Timeline of Google Street View until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article.

Canadian demographics edit

I just noticed that you have made quite a few updates to the demographics in various Canadian articles. While this is great there is a problem with it. For each one that I have looked at you have included a source but you are not bothering to change it from one article to another. So now we have things like Regina and Demographics of Yukon, to name just two examples, that link to Greater Sudbury at the Stats Can source. Can you please go back through the edits and correct the sources. Thanks. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 12:09, 28 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for making a start on fixing the issues. I wonder if it would be possible to make them link to the community page rather than the generic page at Stats Can. Anyway thanks for the great work in updating the demographics. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 10:14, 29 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Naturalized citizens of the United States edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Category:Naturalized citizens of the United States, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Obi-Wan Kenobi (talk) 04:42, 17 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Musicians with Asperger's edit

I undid your edits to Ladyhawke, Craig Nicholls, Gary Numan and James Durbin which removed the People with Asperger syndrome category from them. Was your reasoning that they are already in the Musicians with Asperger syndrome category and thus having them in the People with Asperger syndrome category is overkill? I've never bothered to read the rules and regulations for Wikipedia so if there is an official guideline on this sort of issue then feel free to make your edits to those articles again. But if there is not such an official guideline, I would say that the People with Asperger syndrome category should still apply to those four people.

I'd prefer you to reply to this here, rather than on my talk page. Matthew Fennell (talk) 05:09, 21 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

I removed those articles because they are already in a subcategory of that category, so having them in that category as well would be redundant. Djodjo666 (talk) 21:43, June 21, 2013 (UTC)

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:46, 6 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

"ILGA" 'Wiki Page' Edit edit

That organisation is a LGBTI rights organisation, so naturally my concern is that you were editing that 'Wiki Page' to create some homophobic vandalism. Could you explain your edit?
