Stop adding unconformable information edit

Information that you added in page Scansoriopteryx is controversial. Website you added as reference is highly unreliable website and not useable reference, you should see This discussion. If you are curious about its ecology, it is nice to start discussion in Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Palaeontology, and ask people to get better reference about that. Ok now found this reference you added[1] is reliable, although format you did is not good at that. And I came to know that in the first place using Feduccia as reference was not good. Ta-tea-two-te-to (talk) 00:33, 27 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hi, in article Alan Feduccia, have you noticed that I added Agnolin et al. (2019) in "Response to his work"? "Opposition to theropod origin hypothesis for the origin of birds" is not section to show responses, that should be in "Response to his work". STOP vandalizing Halszkaraptor. edit

Over the past few days I have noticed you keep rewording the Halszkaraptor pages in a way that makes it seem Fabbri et al. support a semiaquatic Halszkaraptor. That goes directly against their inference. What you are doing is misrepresenting the source and almost POV-pushing. Please DO NOT continue this behavior or else you might be blocked. theropods which showed that Halszkaratpor had low bone density, a trait not observed in semi-aquatic animals except anser, gavia

Halszkaraptor was little waterborne because of its low bone density similar to anser. This is how it should be written on the wiki Dinomarek (talk) 08:51, 18 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Psittacosaurus tail bristles resemble those of modern birds:
External and internal structural similarities suggest shared ancestry of basic developmental processes in feathers deep into archosaur evolution. Bristles possibly functioned in sexual display.https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/pala.12257 Dinomarek (talk) 11:14, 19 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Fabbri et al. (2022) showed that taxa with a high bone density are likely inferred as subaqueous foragers. This result supports subaqueous foraging in Spinosaurus. Yet, the opposite relationship is not true: not all subaqueous foragers have a high bone density. See, for example, Anhinga, a subaqueous forager with a low bone density. Note that low bone density is a theropod simplesiomorphy acquired well before the origin of birds and thus is not a by-product of flight. Note also that Halszkaraptor bone density is almost identical to that of Anhinga, suggesting that its bone density does not necessarily negate some form of aquatic foraging. In fact, high bone density is likely a SUFFICIENT condition for subaqueos foraging, but it is not a NECESSARY condition Dinomarek (talk) 17:43, 20 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Can he write that? Dinomarek (talk) 19:53, 21 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
An animal has a semi-aquatic lifestyle if it is adapted to remain temporarily in water but still retains the ability to actively exit the water and carry out part of its life on land. A semi-aquatic animal is therefore not bound to the aquatic environment but is also suitable for exploiting the terrestrial environment. Following this definition, hippopotamuses, crocodiles, marsh turtles, many ducks and most of the so-called "aquatic" birds are semi-aquatic animals. http://theropoda.blogspot.com/2022/12/aquatic-dinosaurs-vs-semi-aquatic.html Dinomarek (talk) 15:27, 22 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

. This has sparked a heated debate regarding the degree of ecological specialization in Spinosaurus, which has been described as actively pursuing prey in waters 11 , with alternative proposals suggesting a more terrestrial or 'wader-heron' model on the basis of anatomical observations and 3D digital models 12,13,23 . Aquatic habits have also been suggested for a handful of other dinosaurs based on gut contents (other spinosaurids 24 and ornithomimosaurs 6,8 ) or anatomical proxies (halszkaraptorine dromaeosaurids 10 , compsognathids 5 and various ornithischians 3,4,7 ), but remain ambiguous and controversial. This illustrates the inherent challenges of reconstructing ecomorphological relationships in vertebrates 25 and the resulting difficulties in inferring ecological traits in extinct species.Nevertheless, negative allometry in bone compactness (reduction of bone density with size increase) is found in flying taxa (volant extant birds, Cretaceous enantiornithines and pterosaurs; Table 1, Supplementary Tables 3, 4). This shows the importance of skeletal weight reduction in association with or preceding the origin of active flight 33 10 femur-midshaft diameter values for our dataset of amniotes with main lifestyle category as a factor using a randomly drawn phylogeny from the 100 phylogenies generated (same topology, variable branch lengths). I agree. Dinomarek obviously doesn't understand that this is a serious situation, and they clearly don't display the competency required to edit Wikipedia. The completely random and incomplete dinosaur "facts" mixed into incorrectly formatted unblock requests proves this. And as I'm writing this, I'm seeing that Dinomarek is writing the same completely random dinosaur comments on other user's talk pages. So with that said, their talk page access needs to be revoked. michael60634 / talk / contributions 16:27, 3 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

  • It does not mean we should label people as incompetent. Calling someone incompetent is a personal attack and is not helpful. Always refer to the contributions and not the contributor, and find ways to phrase things that do not put people on the defensive or attack their character or person.
Dinomarek (talk) 12:38, 28 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

The things you write on this talk page, if they are in correct English, are copied--including from Wikipedia:Competence is required. And repeating such pages to an administrator is kind of insulting. This comment, on User talk:Atlantis536, was copied from Beta-keratin or some other source. I see no competence here. Drmies (talk) 15:20, 28 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
