Mistake on Image:Map of USA with Incest Legality.svg edit

Could you upload a new version of this map because of a mistake made on it. The article incest says that Maine allows incest to be legal under special circumstances, so I would like the map to be accurate and change the color of the state from red to the cream-color. Thanks! — The Future 18:58, 28 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Lee Isaacs edit

The have the whole article saved as I was about to introduce it to wikipedia. as you can see I had to create a whole new article because this person actually ripped the whole thing away fully well knowing he left only a minute for anything I could justify. I think it was taken down to hide his unethical practice here. Artsojourner 20:15, 23 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

The guy who blocked me gave me less than a minute to add everything I did before he slam blocked me. He most likely googled Lee Isaacs and saw that it is a most common name and even more so as a middle name. After I googled and subtracted tons of first names the guy still has over 200 hits to me that important. I think just because a person has a common name doesnt mean he should'nt be added for importance.

I dont think this guy has very good ethics or ethos. He is quite opinated and mean-spirited and I dont think he should be ploicing anyone or anything. In my opinion he would not run a laundrymat. Artsojourner 20:15, 23 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

This is what I sent this guy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Omicronpersei8

as I cant seem to find it on Lee Isaacs history now Go Figure This Omicronpersei8 needs to be policed himself it seems.

Lee Isaacs is in my opinion one of the most influential artists in the South. He was only one of tow artists included in "UpSouth" and very noted exhibition about artists inthe south through Space One Eleven who is funded by Andy Warhol Foundation. He was also a stable at AGNES, a notable photography gallery and was editor for Alabama Art Monthly He has also worked in film with "Johnny Floyton" 2002 He lectures and teaches camera techniques and is a visiting artis to many colleges and universities in the south.

I hope this helps.

Artsojourner 18:40, 21 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Also, after much thought and consideration on my part. I was flabbergasted to note that I wasn't given even half a chance to wikify the article in question nor was I allowed enough time to give you my citations about his work to begin with. If you look at the history of this article I was given one minute to do all of this before you swiftly discarded my work. 18:25, 21 November 2006 Artsojourner contributed and in one minute flat at 18:26, 21 November 2006 Omicronpersei8 tagged it and blocked me from any further work on it. IS THIS FAIR since I know Omicronpersei8 didn't take the time or effort to google his name properly in 60 seconds

In googling Lee Isaacs I saw that "Lee" is an overwhelmingly used middle name so I went about to look him up using the -name sign on google and subtracted many first names this way and still ended up with more that 220 articles about him and this, in and of itself, seemed notable enough to me. I feel just because he has spent most of his professional life in the Southern US in no way would make him less of an artist than say someone who has spent most of their professional life in the Northeast. Isaacs has worked in film. He is an expert in Pinhole camera. He has worked as a portrait artist of many notable people. He was the photography editor of a state-wide Arts magazine (Thats a biggie in the Southern US) and also shown his work alongside many notable artists including Emma Amos, Willy Cole, Melissa Springer, Ruth Bernhard, Paul Caponigro, Jerry Uelsmann and Jack Spencer. So I think this is notable also.

This said, after my work here or many hours, I wish to include Lee Isaacs. Artsojourner 06:45, 22 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Dude, it was just a {{notability}} tag. -- Omicronpersei8 (talk) 07:53, 22 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Do you realise that you've written more here about defending the subjects against the tag than there is in the article. Gnangarra 08:42, 22 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

So I am trying to go back to edit it to show notability and I still cant do anything with it. If its just a notablility tag then why cant I work on the page. This is frustrating to me considering I have done alot of homework trying to get this into shape only to be blocked from working on it. WHAT GIVES WHAT GIVES!!!! You tell me???? Artsojourner 18:04, 22 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Oh and by the way I am not a vandal and never have done anything like that. Artsojourner 18:05, 22 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for bringing some humor into this Gnangarra. As for you Artsojourner, try to let this go for now, as I can't really find needed notability for this artist. Remember not to take this as any personal insult to you, as we're all just trying to keep wikipedia as sane as possible. If you can gather more definite information about Lee Issacs I'm sure Wikipedia will still have space for him. Just remember not to harass anyone else in the process of editing. Thanks. -- dhp1080 (u·t·c) 20:28, 23 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • Keep Isaacs is my vote. This photographer is quite notable. Editor Hoary decided long ago he didn't want Isaacs' on WP for whatever reason. We both obviously see, along with others, that Isaacs work is as notable as half of the photographers on WP whether its art photography and/or commercial photography. I fleshed out alot of this article but I do understand to google Lee Isaacs is not easy since alot of people have his first and last name as a middle name and last name. I have a book here, UPsouth, that has many examples of his work. This is a Warhol project grant through Space One Eleven. He is in good company as far as the notoriety of the other artists here is concerned. Emma Amos and bell hooks are in the book along with Willie Cole and Marie Weaver. Cole is the only other male in this project. Maybe someone could sift through some of this. Artsojourner 06:15, 5 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

repeated CSD notices on User_talk:Penutzippy edit

Hey, thanks for your work in New Page Patrol. However, I was noticing that you added several repeat template notices on that user talk page...while it is a good idea to notify the user of the pages labelled as well as to keep records, I don't think it is effective to belabour the point by repeating the same exact information four times, especially when I already had written a note about one of them. If you want to keep a list, a small addendum should be fine...I just don't think adding multiple duplicate warnings will help anyone, and in the meantime is lengthens the page excessively. Just my two cents, but I hope you see my point. —Keakealani 22:24, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

This user continues to be disruptive, altering articles to make them untrue, and creating statements with the intent of vandalizing. He should be blocked since he was already warned.

I tagged an image you uploaded on Wikimedia as lacking a source. The source you provided is no longer available, so if you could provide some more information about the document (e.g., date of publication, title, author, government department, etc.) that would suffice, I think. — Chris53516 (Talk) 14:28, 22 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hacking? edit

Hello, I'm an unregistered user, and I got a message from you saying I'd vandalized "Conversion of Units" and "African Bush Elephant". I've never been to either of these pages, let alone vandalized them. Has someone hijacked my IP or something?
