Accusations of vandalism edit

Your edit here has the edit summary of "Rvv". It seems likely that you are not a new contributor if you are aware of that acronym, which stands for "revert vandalism". As someone who has some experience, you should also be aware of what constitutes vandalism, and the edits that you reverted do not. Entries in lists of people allegedly belonging to a caste community must be verifiable using reliable sources and in the case of living people it must be verifiable that they have self-identified as a member of the community. All of my removals were of entries that failed those tests.

The article in question relates to an Indian caste and is therefore also subject to general sanctions. Please find below the standard notification that explains these. - Sitush (talk) 08:46, 12 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions.
