John Files Tom

edit

Looking at the "See also" links you put in the article it seems likely that Tom is notable enough for a Wikipedia article. However the text you've added doesn't make the case. "Tom was a Texas Ranger Captain" is nowhere near to making a case for his notability. I've moved John Files Tom to Draft:John Files Tom where you can work on it until it's ready for mainspace.

I note that you've cited findagrave.com which is not reliable in the eyes of Wikipedia's policies. It's user generated content, indeed I see you have contributed to it, which also makes it original research, contrary to one of Wikipedia's core policies.

Hope that helps, Cabayi (talk) 09:08, 4 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

The newspaper clipping you posted at findagrave would be a good source to cite but you give no indication of which newspaper it came from, nor when it was published. Cabayi (talk) 09:11, 4 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
