Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Deonikar. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Shiva Ayyadurai, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. It appears you have a very strong conflict of interest regarding the subject. Please do not continue to edit the article, especially when doing so severely misrepresents the sources. Sockpuppet investigation

edit

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Mattsabe, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Editor --- I have just read the issues about being accused of sockpuppetry: "If you are accused of puppetry, stay calm and don't take the accusations too personally. If you have not abused multiple accounts or IPs and have not breached the policy on meat-puppetry, then that will almost always be the finding. If there is a good reason for the evidence provided, point it out in your own section. Sockpuppet inquiry pages are only about account and IP misuse—nothing else. If the evidence is not there, then the case will be closed without any adverse finding of any kind."

I have been a contributor to Wikipedia. I am not using multiple accounts or IPs, nor doing meat puppetry. I do not know MattSabe and frankly would like an advice on how to open a Wikipedia investigation on Smartse. It took me a lot of effort to organize my changes and the citations. In reviewing the page, there appears to be an inherent bias to ANYONE who presents facts favorable to Ayyadurai. As an Indian, I find this behavior discriminatory. What aspect of my edits were incorrect, wrong, or inaccurate. It appears Smartse was allowing content that was defamatory against Ayyadurai as well as others. My content, which I expected to be published followed Wiki policies. I will be opening up a Talk discussion on the aspects of my additions. In reviewing Smartse's edits, it appears that there is a sockpuppetry going on in a coordinated fashion to eliminate any factual content that is favorable to Ayyadurai with comments such as "self-serving" "self-promotional." Such comments are arbitrary and discriminatory. How do I raise an investigation on Smartse or what appear to be some of his colleagues? Yes, as an Indian, I do find the random deletion of facts, which were posted per WP policy, wrong. In closing, I will be following WP process and bringing it on Talk page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Deonikar (talkcontribs) 20:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

  This is your only warning; if you make personal attacks on others again, as you did at Talk:Shiva_Ayyadurai, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. ... richi (hello) 20:41, 14 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for making legal threats or taking legal action. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia while the threats stand or the legal action is unresolved.  Bbb23 (talk) 01:34, 16 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
