Intendants

Hello, Dentren. I see your point here. I agree it may be better to have this information in one article and not distributed to anything tangentially related. The thing is, I've recently added the intendant to many, many other communes' articles because so many of them were stubs they could have used some additions. We can remove the unnesesary information article bty article (the 350 communes?) and replace it with information on the composition of the minicipal councils and on how many times the alcalde have been reelected, to ensure the sections have a considerable lenght, if that worries you. I can remove them with AWB, not a big deal. All communes have been de-stubbed recently, so the blurb about the intendants won't be missed. Hey Dentren, Yerba is a Spanish name and not an English name. Fao (United Nations) use the name "Mate" and not "Yerba Mate". Brazil is the biggest world producer and consumer of Mate in the world, if the point is world use, so we should change to "Erva Mate". In the Spanish Wikipedia you should use the term you want, but in English we need to keep it impartial, and undo to "Mate". If you mean that my recent editions werent much of an improvement you may be rigth. The lead should present the key events and aspects of the regime. I think the way this topic is dealt with in the spanish wiki is good and we should copy what is good there. This is a concept I am unfamiliar with, except as in nations like first world is industrialized nations, etc. Is the bot referring to fairly recent time near the present geologically, a United States point of reference, or something else. The List of tephra layers is a relatively recent article creation that I will be expanding to go further into the past where there are radioactivity dates available and more around the world for extensive coverage, also where radioactivity dates exist. Is this what the bot is asking for, or is there something else?

I clicked on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Countering systemic bias link, but did not find it helpful. A first impression is that the worldwide view being asked for is arealistic or unrealistic, but I may not be understanding. Marshallsumter (talk) 02:16, 27 July 2011 (UTC)

I think its impossible to have one article covering all tephra layers. Instead I would suggest to have one covering the realy (realy) important ones like the settlement layer of Iceland and so on. That would make it easy to keep the article balanced and give an unfamiliar user a good overview. I seek your input

hello dentren, im new to wikipedia so i don't know all the protocols, however I feel compelled to talk to you about the current and heated discussion that's relating to the 'war of the pacific' article (maybe this is not the first time). The issue involves the Repaso claim. According to the talk pages there's some users who are casting doubt on the repaso claims with legitimate arguments concerning the NPOV. One user has already gotten banned for trying to change the section on the article concerning the repaso. My concern is that the process of consensus is non-existent, the heated arguments about the repaso is created because the two users who claim to be part of the consensus process are refusing to acknowledge the NPOV issue with the repaso. If you have time I would like to know your POV especially on the Repaso issue, according to Marshal and Ian you are also part of the consensus process on the article. Once again I'm compelled to talk to you because the other two people seem to be on an ego trip determined not to acknowledge concerning issues.--202.138.9.251 (talk) 10:04, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
