New Company, BioCard edit

Hi,

How are you doing?

I am trying to add a page for companies in Nairobi and Kenya. Though i am having a hard time.

Please advise me on this — Preceding unsigned comment added by Deassismoneira (talkcontribs) 16:54, 1 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

I moved this from User talk:CaroleHenson to keep the conversations together.–CaroleHenson (talk) 19:18, 1 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
I would be happy to help. The very first step if you want to recreate BioCard is to see if you can find some reliable sources, like newspapers, magazines, books, or sites with company profiles (not social media kinds of sites, though) - to establish that it's an article with sufficient notability.
I would also recommend either adding something to the talk page about companies and/or Nairobi for help finding reliable sources. I'm not familiar with Nairobi - so I don't know what would be considered good sites for company information.
Looking at good articles for companies at the project page can also give you a sense of the kind of content that should be added.
Otherwise, any further attempts are likely to end in the article getting deleted. I see that you have made edits over a bit of time to other articles, but you seem to have a keen interest in this particular company - so I feel I should also ask: Do you have a close connection or conflict of interest with the company?–CaroleHenson (talk) 19:24, 1 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
Oh, I just noticed that you went ahead and tried to create yet another version of the article in article space - and have been blocked a week. That will give you time to do some research and learn more before attempting a new article. Is there perhaps an existing article about Kenya or Nairobi that you might be interested in expanding as a starting point? That's much easier than starting out with a new article where you have to establish notability.
If you are still interested, we can still communicate on this page to get you better prepared once the block is lifted.–CaroleHenson (talk) 19:53, 1 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
