Would you stop interfering with my edits and judging my motives? If you want to discuss them you can always ask.Keith-264 (talk) 09:46, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

  • The edits that I have reverted have been unconstructive in that you have reverted duly commented edits. You've also added NPOV content in which doesn't belong on Wikipedia. Thanks, but I will continue to revert any edits that you or anyone else make that I believe don't belong on the project. --Deadly∀ssassin 10:07, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

Apropos, are you a ComBBC stooge?Keith-264 (talk) 09:46, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

You're as welcome to your opinion but fair's fair, you brought up vandalism. This was unwarranted, based on inference and dependent on an elitist posture. Physician heal thyself.Keith-264 (talk) 10:16, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

No elitist posture required. You reverted reasonable and fully commented edits with fatuous comments "The BBC is iliterate" and added commentary to an article. It takes time to correct these which could be better spent on improving the encyclopedia. --Deadly∀ssassin 10:54, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

Yet again you presume to judge. Yet again you use intemperate language when I offer dialogue. Yet again you put yourself into a role of judge and jury. I reverted your reversion for the eminently reasonable reason that you took it upon yourself to defend a marketing term used by a supposedly public service organisation. You only had to ask and we could have looked for consensus to mutual benefit. 'Remake' does not mean 'copy' although some copies are remakes. "Re-imagining" is a euphemism. You and ComBBC should be better than that. The BBC IS illiterate. Keith-264 (talk) 16:06, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

I have pointed out where I disagree with your edits and you respond with ad hominem comments. I provided references for the wording that I stand by, and did say that you should discuss any revision that you wanted to make. I am now going to go about my business and suggest that you go about yours. I will not be entering into any more discussion on this matter as it is a waste of time. --Deadly∀ssassin 19:48, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

Received warning

Hi,

I have received the message from you as follows:

"The next time you delete or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia, as you did to Kondapuram, Kadapa District, you will be blocked from editing. Deadly∀ssassin 11:45, 28 December 2008 (UTC)"

As it has some wrong information and duplication, there are several Kondapuram s in Andhra Pradesh state, so, I decided to create more informative way about Kondapuram, Kadapa District (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kondapuram,_Kadapa_district).

thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kesav76 (talkcontribs) 20:11, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

  • Hi, the best way to deal with articles like this is to use a redirect rather than to blank the page as this can be seen as vandalism. I did, however use the wrong template, as the type of warning you received was to strongly worded, and I apologies if that caused you any worry. --Deadly∀ssassin 21:27, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

Noys

I don't understand why this music group keeps getting marked for deletion. Noys —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bdkennedy1 (talkcontribs) 23:15, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

  • There's criteria for what is notable in Wikipedia which you can see at WP:BAND. I don't feel that the article meets those criteria. You can make your thoughts known in the discussion about this at this page Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Noys where you should explain why you think the article DOES meet the notability criteria. Don't forget to sign messages on talk pages with ~~~~. --Deadly∀ssassin 23:20, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

Please delete

Please delete Schoharie Bridge collapse. I was a little hasty in naming the stub.

I made Schoharie Creek Bridge collapse and you kindly added a redirect from the former.

Thank you Deadly.--Anna Frodesiak (talk) 02:46, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Actually, when I google it, both come up, so maybe leave it. Your call. Cheers.--Anna Frodesiak (talk) 02:47, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
I'm not an admin, so can't delete articles. The rule of thumb on Wikipedia is that redirects are "cheap" so if a redirect makes sense you should leave it. As you say, redirects generally help people find articles when they make searches. Nice work on the article, by the way. --Deadly∀ssassin 02:59, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Thank you very much. Good rule of thumb. I will leave it alone. By the way, how do I delete a subpage?--Anna Frodesiak (talk) 05:59, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

If it's under your namespace, you can request speedy U1 by putting {{db-u1}} on the page. If it is elsewhere then you will need to have a reason, like non-notable, etc and for that you should look at WP:DELETE. --Deadly∀ssassin 06:01, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

RE: Ranks

You did not really need to revert me, and you should have put "revert good faith edits" in your summary because mine were not of a vandal. I do not need to add the more specific linking because I see you have now done that to the template. Police,Mad,Jack (talk · contribs) 15:21, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

  • Nor did I say that they were vandalism. Of course they were good faith, that's assumed. I fail to understand what the problem is. --Deadly∀ssassin 21:53, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

Late reply to your Help desk question

See my reply. That question is starting to get buried in the Help desk by newer questions, so if you cannot find the problem with my latest tips, you could start over with a new question on WP:VP/T which references the Help desk question. The Bill

Hi.

Can you please undo all the dting you've done to the biographies to the characters from 'The Bill'. Because the way you have it presented now is really confusing!

Displaying their biographies on an a-z form is not a good idea mate! —Preceding unsigned comment added by LightSpirit06 (talkcontribs) 16:51, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

  • Hi, there is a discussion of this on the bill project page - Wikipedia talk:WikiProject The Bill#Page naming suggestions. When I came to do this work >50% of the character articles had already been deleted for over 8 months, and it was clear that a large proportion of the remainder were in trouble. Most of the character pages do not justify their own articles mainly because they are in-complete, written with an in-universe perspective, and un-referenced. These issues have been pointed out over a number of months but none of the articles have been improved sufficiently that not so well meaning editors may put them up for deletion. In my opinion the work that I've done has saved the content, and provided a spring-board for editors who want to take on the work of improving the content to justify their own article again, so I won't be reverting my changes. --Deadly∀ssassin 21:17, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Nothing to do with me, but I noticed this on my Watchlist. But my opinion is that you have saved The Bill articles, and it has helped. Police,Mad,Jack (talk · contribs) 22:04, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

  • Well that's very nice of you to say, thank you. --Deadly∀ssassin 22:39, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
Was this My Decision discussed? if not why not, this charicter profile page really doesnt work well. Alexsau1991 (talk) 10:06, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
I've given the link to the discussion above, a fact which you haven't borne in mind before taking it on yourself to begin rolling back the changes wholesale. Again, a large number of these articles were deleted in April 2008 which people weren't concerned with as you can see from the list of articles I had to have restored. There were attempts to discuss this at the time on the project talk page, which noone took up. Was having more than half of the character profiles deleted working better for you then? --Deadly∀ssassin 10:46, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
ive taken a look at the discussion and as far as i can see there nothing was decided, you and one other person talked about it, and one other said he didnt think it was a good idea, this sort of thing should be put to vote before you unilaterally change it your self, I have reverted all the currant charictors in the program back to there original pages, rather than the revert, if you feel this change should happen, you should discuiss it fully and not change it after less than 12 hours discussion. Alexsau1991 (talk) 11:04, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Also if this change is going to happen, it should only happen to charictors who are no longer in it now, because I have also noticed alot of some of the charicters information has been removed, as well as the templates used.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Alexsau1991 (talkcontribs)

  • Templates support article, articles aren't there to support templates. The only reason why any character should have a separate article is because they deserve it. The article deserves it if it meets the guidelines in WP:FICTION and Wikipedia:WikiProject Television, which include full references, not written in an in-universe style and reflecting on their nature as a character rather than a real person. Just because a character is still in a series is irrelevant to this benchmark. Prior to the consolidation, a grand total of, count them, ZERO articles met these guidelines. If you want to improve an entry and make them worthy of a separate article, be my guest - I encourage you to do so. I don't encourage you to revert changes without understanding the issues. --Deadly∀ssassin 11:10, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
    • I do understand the issues, but wether i did or not, the decission about merging all of them has to be disscussed, and not just done, and the discussion ive seen is hardly enought to have come up with a decision. Alexsau1991 (talk) 11:20, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
      • Which is fine, let's have the discussion - reverting all the changes is inflamatory and isn't going to help. I don't want to get into an edit war over this. Please respond to my substantive comments about the quality of the articles as the stood, and the fact that you were ok with so many of them having been deleted. --Deadly∀ssassin 11:22, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Burger King Zesty Sauce

I'm curious why my article, which I spent actual time on, was so quickly deleted? I don't see how a subject can be deemed notable or not in less time that it took to write the article. Have you ever had Zesty Sauce? It's very different from the complimentary sauces provided by most other fast food restaurants. If nothing else, why can't you roll my article into the Burger King article, or allow a stub? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Welvis (talkcontribs) 07:00, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

  • Hi, as I explained on your talk page I don't believe that the article is notable, it hasn't been deleted just redirected to Burger King. You can read about notability here to see what Wikipedia accepts and doesn't accept as articles. I looked at the content and couldn't identify content that made sense to incorporate into the main article. As I said on your talk page, you're welcome to add that to Burger King yourself, or if after reading WP:NOTE you think I've not acted appropriately you're welcome to undo my revision again. I won't re-redirect myself but I will ask for other editors to have a look to see what their thoughts are. --Deadly∀ssassin 07:05, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Doctor Who - in Australia

I would like to suggest that the article "Double Gamma(s?)" would be FAR better if folded into the more wide-ranging article Doctor Who in Australia, which is where it really belongs - I'd do it myself, but don't know how! Sorry Of itself, the "DGs" are rather trivial, but within the wider context of THAT article might merit inclusion, I think - alone they should be deleted as entirely of local interest. Also - I see there is a VERY short article on the "New Zealand Doctor Who Fan Club" - but there was an article for the far larger and long lived "Australia Doctor Who Club" - but this was deleted, looking at the discussion it seems odd to keep the NZ one and not the other? It does not appear specially well referenced, nor more "notable" than the rejected piece. Dalek Supreme Control (talk) 06:14, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

Please follow Wikipedia rules on NFRA entry

Please do not describe editing you disagree with as disruptive editing or vandalism: it is plainly neither. If you do not like my edit, explain why. It is not enough just to say: some people didn't like this edit in the past, so I am going to revert it. I have provided a brief bio of the organization's president. I have added citations. I have followed the standard Wikipedia practice of including biographical presidential information in the entry. I have followed the rules on mediation, on editing explanation, and on going away and leaving the issue alone when others have been unreasonable. You can just as well take it up on the talk page as mindlessly revert my edits. There is a clear history of ignoring basic and plain Wikipedia standards and rules by you and others with respect to this entry, and I wish you would stop. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.46.254.47 (talk) 00:40, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

It may not have been vandalism, but it certainly wasn't a good faith edit. You know the efforts that were put in to finding a compromise wording, attempting to reinsert your favoured wording every few months is disruptive at best. --Deadly∀ssassin 01:07, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
Please do not continue to misrepresent either the mediation process in general or the specific facts at issue. I made several proposals during mediation for a compromise. All were ignored. The only proposal that was made during mediation that was adopted was the same wording that existed before mediation! Furthermore, mediation is in no way a binding process. If users like you are going to refuse to address legitimate concerns during and after mediation, then there is nothing remotely disruptive about having a legitimate opinion that differs from yours. I strongly disagree with you that I am behaving in bad faith, and it is clear that you are mischaracterizing the mediation -- again, it is a voluntary and nonbinding process. All you are doing is exercising a heckler's veto. It is very frustrating to deal with administrators who show every indication of ignoring the rules or adopting other vandals' behavior of making up the rules as they go along. To summarize, just because I disagree with you or other people is simply not evidence of vandalism or disruption. In my opinion you would be well advised to discuss substantive issues rather than continue to mindlessly revert edits based on precedents that do not actually exist or have no precedential force. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.46.254.47 (talk) 01:20, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
I'm not sure where you got the idea that I'm an administrator - I'm not, and don't want to be. If you want to reopen the discussion, I'd suggest having a word with PhilKnight to see what the next step for your concerns are. --Deadly∀ssassin 01:42, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
I didn't say that you were an administrator. It is pointless to go to Phil Knight. He did not eliminate my recent edits. You did. You can go to Phil Knight if you want. Please leave my edits alone if you will not discuss the substantive issues they create. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.46.254.47 (talk) 01:50, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
As the words you wish to include in the article haven't changed from the mediation, it would be safe to assume that my concerns are the same, namely that it is not NPOV. --Deadly∀ssassin 01:53, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
As you must know, just reverting in this case is very bad policy. Please explain why a 2-sentence bio of the president fails NPOV. This strikes me as very similar to your prior behavior of just stating groundlessly that my edit is disruptive. Surely you know that the better policy is to suggest an alternate edit. This is another example of insisting that I have to follow Wikipedia rules and conventions while behaving as if you are not bound by them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.46.254.47 (talk) 02:06, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
You were presented with reasons why I and others felt the wording you suggested failed NPOV. I have no intention of rehashing them. The wording that I'm reverting to is the compromise wording as far as I'm concerned. --Deadly∀ssassin 02:10, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
I suggested several alternatives. Nobody was willing to consider them. While it is true that I was presented with reasons that people disagreed, the fact is that those reasons came from people who used tag-team editing to violate the 3RR rule and work with people who committed notability vote fraud for Rod Martin. That is at least 3 violations of Wikipedia rules, and you have added to those violations with groundless accusations of disruptive editing, vandalism, and refusal to reasonably discuss what constitutes NPOV combined with mindless reverting. That in a nutshell is THE Wikipedia problem: editors who refuse to follow basic and obvious Wikipedia rules. You are exploiting your lawless behavior while manufacturing one spurious justification after another for mindless reverting. You are also misrepresenting the compromise wording, since I attempted to compromise several times but you and others refused. I don't mind if you don't want to discuss it anymore, but please stop reverting my edits in the prior mindless fashion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.46.254.47 (talk) 02:35, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
I don't see either of us getting anywhere with this discussion, especially if you believe the idea that because people disagree with you there's some sort of conspiracy of editors to avoid 3RR. I have raised this at WP:AN/I in the hope that we can get some assistance. --

Deadly∀ssassin 02:42, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Well, when I see edits reverted eight times in a 24-hr period by several of the same crew who participated in the Rod Martin notability election that was later found to be illegitimate because of vote fraud, sure, I think tag-team editing is a likely conclusion. But the larger problem is not that we can't get anywhere in this discussion; the larger problem is that you won't do your part in starting it. Instead of making constructive suggestions and addressing the substantive issues, you misrepresented my actions and refused to explain your reasoning. All you do is revert, revert, revert. A little discussion wouldn't hurt, but I guess that is asking too much.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.46.254.47 (talkcontribs)

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion, guidelines for use at WP:MINOR). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and all users will still be able to manually mark their edits as being minor in the usual way.

For well-established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 20:47, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

Your request for rollback

Hi DeadlyAssassin. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.

You changed Broseph Stalin to Joseph?

I don't know if you are aware but history books have been wrong for many years due to a topographical error that has occurred due to a mistranslation of Russian into English. The use of the silent 'j' should have instead communicated the 'br' fricative or guttural stop. I am a Doctor PHD of soviet histories at the University Archipelago more commonly known as the "Gulag". I am well versed in these subjects and was merely trying to improve the legitimacy of your article. This mistake has become an epidemic and I assure you that many more changes will come as I tirelessly fight to rectify this ignorance.

I recommend you rescind your deletions and restore the page to the proper Russian pronunciation. As well as unlock the "Joseph Stalin" page so that I may improve it as well.

Thank you for your time and I will excuse your mistakes as soon as the issue has been resolved.

yours truly, Dr. P Haytchdee

Kingdom of tahiti: photos

I made the Kingdom of tahiti: photos page, but someone recommended that I take the images to the Wikipedia Commons, because it wasn't appropriate to have a plain gallery on Wikipedia, and I did. The only issue I have with the commons is that I will have to upload most of the images again due to their existing only in the English version. I was trying to delete the page, but in light of your revision, should I just keep the gallery page?Nanib (talk) 09:50, 9 September 2011 (UTC)

Also, I created the photos page after following advise to remove the gallery from my Kingdom of Tahiti page. Would it be alright under the website's policy just to put them back where they were originally?Nanib (talk) 09:54, 9 September 2011 (UTC)

  • Actually it was a mistake on my part. I had interpreted your blanking of the page as vandalism. Sorry for that. I will revert to your blank and add the speedy deletion tag. There may be a tool that could help you transfer the images more quickly, I'd post in Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard and ask the very knowledgeable people there. As long as the images on the Kingdom of Tahiti page illustrate points in the article, and aren't just presented as a gallery I think that you should be ok.
Again, my apologies for reverting your good faith edit. --Deadly∀ssassin 00:44, 10 September 2011 (UTC)

Oh, it's no issue and there is no need to apologize. I understand that one must monitor for vandalism on an encyclopedia created by users. Thank you though for your advice and apology.Nanib (talk) 05:18, 20 September 2011 (UTC)

Tara Dobson Page Deletion?

Why did you delete Tara Dobson's page? Who are you?

John — Preceding unsigned comment added by Toolkit7 (talkcontribs) 19:26, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

  • Hi there. I'm not an admin, so didn't delete the article, but just marked it because of my concerns. I marked the article because of notability concerns, there are some guidelines on what Wikipedia considers to be notable that you can read. If you believe that you can rewrite your article to cover off those concerns you are encouraged to do so. If the article has been deleted and you want a personal copy you should probably have a word with the deleting admin. Best of luck.--Deadly∀ssassin 23:07, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

Never Say Never Again

Hi there, Thanks for the speedy process on NSNA - much appreciated. Igordebraga, one of the 'team' of three who has been doing a string of the Bond films recently, has made a number of the changes you've suggested and I think that these should cover your final concerns. Please let me know if there is anything still outstanding, or that you would like to be cleard up further and I'll get on with it. Thanks again. - SchroCat (^@) 18:30, 20 September 2011 (UTC)

Canada's Wonderland GA review

I am not trying to be harsh on you but why on Earth would you stop reviewing an article for GA status half way through? Just because the problems you found when reviewing the article may have told you that the article was no where near GA status., doesn't mean that you should stop... at least have the sense to finish the review (where you left the question marks). What I'm asking is that you FINISH THE REVIEW!!!--Dom497 (talk) 18:48, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

I strongly agree with Dom497 on this. DeadlyAssassin, I am not trying to be harsh on you, but can you do a more thorough review of the article please? Thank you. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 19:25, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

Hello,

I had not finished the first version when you put the tag for sourcing. May I ask you to have a look at the bibliography and quote and telle me what you think about it ?

This writer is quite important in occitan literature history so this is why you will find some information here [1] and there [2].

Thank you,

Cheers,

--Lembeye (talk) 14:09, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

  • Hi Lembeye, no problem - the tags are just put onto an article to flag it in case the article remained unreferenced as I was not to know that you weren't finished. I took the liberty of rewording the article a little to try to help its clarity. --Deadly∀ssassin 14:48, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

Hello,

and many thanks. Aside from the fact that English is not my mother tongue (and so, unfortunatly, anything I write in this language needs to be refrased or corrected) I teaches me a lot.

sincerely,

--Lembeye (talk) 19:40, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

  • My pleasure, it's a collaborative exercise. If you create other articles that you want me to help with the English language side just drop a note on this page, and I'll try to help. Your English is fine, I certainly wouldn't be able to contribute to the Catalan Wiki. :) --Deadly∀ssassin 22:38, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

DAVID AXELROD

What I have edited is the total unvarnished truth. As a matter of fact it is the exact wording under the Wikipedia entry for "PM " Newspaper. They are not my words. if you click on the link in the previous sentence of the Axelrod bio. They need to be included for background and because they are the truth and it's relevant. You know I asked a foreigner who never stepped foot in this country before about the reliabilty of Wikipedia on political topics. He said "it can't be trusted because it's whitewashed". True story. I'm sorry if you want to portray a rosy unblemished tale of a politcal figure but reguardless of of politcal persuasion the edit I made is the unemotional cold hard words without exageration or drama of Wikipedia itself and I strees that these words are lifted verbatim from Wikipedia's link to PM newspaper(not Parade Magazine at all).Click on the blue link right in Axelrod's bio for "PM" in previous sentence and see for your self. Think of what you are doing when you "whitewash" the truth. I don't mean to be harsh. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.86.0.20 (talk) 14:53, 24 September 2011 (UTC)(Note: I reposted because my reply was hidden under someone else's subject line.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.86.0.20 (talk)

So what's up with automatically reverting edits by IP users?

Friendly's hasn't been publicly traded for years, and is owned by a private equity firm. The article was years out of date, which is why I edited it. In the future, please do some research before reverting quality edits. Not all IP users are noobs, you know.

I see that you've realized your mistake, and reinstated my edit. While I appreciate this, I think an apology is certainly called for.

76.119.75.131 (talk) 09:25, 10 October 2011 (UTC)

You've really got no comment as to why you just revert people's quality edits for no reason? 76.119.75.131 (talk) 09:35, 10 October 2011 (UTC)

"editors who misuse standard rollback (for example, by using it to reverse good-faith edits in situations where an explanatory edit summary would normally be expected) may have their rollback rights removed. Since rollback is part of the core administrator tools, an admin could theoretically be desysopped in order to remove those tools."

Just in case you'd forgotten not to abuse your powers. 76.119.75.131 (talk) 09:48, 10 October 2011 (UTC)

So do you have any response? 76.119.75.131 (talk) 10:01, 10 October 2011 (UTC)

  • Seriously, man - are you just too good to apologize to a lowly IP user? What's your problem? 76.119.75.131 (talk) 10:19, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
    • Why do you not think I deserve an apology here?76.119.75.131 (talk) 10:43, 10 October 2011 (UTC)

Speedy Deletion of article on Jeremiah Choy

The article on Jeremiah Choy has relevent references cited. It should not be proposed for speedy deletion. The article is linked to the Singapore portal where his name is listed.

See Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Singapore-related_topics#Singaporean_directors_and_groups

Jamesjordantay (talk) 10:35, 29 September 2011 (UTC)

  • No problem. Check this out for how to do redirects WP:REDIRECT, what you did looked like an article with just a single reference. I've copied the content over to the article with the correct name i.e. Choy instead of choy and redirected from the lower case article to the main one. I'll now delete your CSD comments in case the create any confusion. --Deadly∀ssassin 10:46, 29 September 2011 (UTC)

Thank you! There were 2 references to the article. One in the Straits Times (which is a printed paper in Singapore) and the other one is an online references. If you search Jeremiah Choy online, there are many articles with his name on it. The reason why I did not put in the online references is that the Wiki guidelines says that online references are not so ideal as a source if information. However, many of the printed articles are placed online these days. As such, I did not place the references for fear of speedy deletion. Thank you for putting the Captital C in Choy. Tdp facebook

Hello DeadlyAssassin. I have nominated the redirect for deletion, as I think it is an implausible redirect which contains no valuable encyclopedic information, see [3]. It was repeatedly recreated as a political advert of User:TDP Facebook, an account with no other purpose than promoting the Facebook page of the Telugu Desam Party. I blocked the account for spamming. Please let me know if you disagree with my action. Thank you. --Vejvančický (talk | contribs) 10:09, 5 October 2011 (UTC)

Thanks very much for the guidance on the redirect. I realised a little too late that it's actually the Stonewall Attack I was referring to - the Defence is an extension of the Dutch Defense.

Sorry

I blame the physics of Huggle on that one... It shouldn't have rolled over your edit and 76.119.75.131 in one edit, regardless, or maybe I'm just too tired, I don't know. I am kind of curious what 76.119.75.131 is talking about though although without diffs it's hard to tell. Crazynas t 10:12, 10 October 2011 (UTC)

  • All good, Huggle can get away from you at times. The story is I made this (Huggle :)) edit [4] accidentally, realised it was a mistake [5], and before I could reverse the edit I received this [6]. I've not engaged with the IP editor since. --Deadly∀ssassin 10:17, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
    • Indeed, you reverted in the same server minute looks to me like, so I don't know what the big deal is. Although misuse of rollback (although reverting oneself is pretty close to saying sorry) I feel calls for apology, civility is required when requesting it. Crazynas t 10:50, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
      • Couldn't agree more. I'd pressed escape in Huggle to cancel the warning edit, and it said that the edit was cancelled, so at the time I didn't even bother to look at the users talk page. I guess I should know by now that Huggle doesn't always report correctly. --Deadly∀ssassin 11:20, 10 October 2011 (UTC)

    • Actually, my professor ended up making sure the page was ok and then he said he marked the duplicate that shouldn't exist so it could be deleted. So short answer is I think I don't need help haha? I am still rather new with using Wiki, but I am getting there slowly, so its progress anyway. Hello,

thank you for your message, and again, thank you for revising my contributions. I try, from time to time, to learn from them but I also know that at some point, when I start writting in English I am still thinking in occitan/spanish/French/catalan. So, once more, thank you.

You know, occitan language and literature (though almost ignored now a day) is one of Europe major historical language. I am planning to write about ist major writers and so I really need some help in English.

I am a little busy untill Thursday, but I will return working on this topic afterward.

Best,

ACL

Hi. After reading Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Case prerequisites I'm not sure if we are eligible for informal mediation. "In general, most requests for mediation at MedCab will be denied unless there has been a good faith attempt to utilize one of the lower forms of dispute resolution before coming to MedCab." I don't think we qualify for 'third opinion' as there are already three of us involved, and I'd assume 'dispute resolution' requires a discussion with the other editor, which we don't currently have. Sorry if I've overlooked something. Anyway I'm certainly glad that 'Rebecca' has made a contribution and that Sam56mas has received a warning; all we really needed was a couple other people to look at the article. If you want to source more opinions that would of course be appreciated but I've got uni exams over the next three weeks then I'm off on vacation so I'm not really in a position to start any new discussions; I'm relatively pleased with what has happened and due to my commitments I'm going to leave this with you for now. Sorry about that, thanks for sourcing where to go next for the article. Freikorp (talk) 12:32, 3 November 2011 (UTC)

First off, good luck with the exams. The real world needs to take priority over Wikiediting sometimes. :) I'm happy to take your lead, you're probably right about mediation, it's almost certainly pointless if the dissenting opinion refuses to discus. I had dropped a note on Favonian's page a while ago, and assumed he'd ignored it, but it looks like he was just thinking it over. Hopefully this will push Sam56mas towards discussion now, and we can get back to the business of of making Wikipedia better. --Deadly∀ssassin 19:37, 3 November 2011 (UTC)

Dear Deadly Ass, I saw a message from you on my user talk page saying that you had reverted an edit I had made to a John Mallett. However, I have never heard of this person and certainly did not make any edit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.186.30.243 (talk) 16:44, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

  • That warning was put on back in September, meaning that whoever was using your IP address in September made the edit. This comes with the territory for people making edits under IP addresses as quite often IP addresses are shared or change and you may often get warnings left for others. The way to avoid it is to get a username for yourself. --Deadly∀ssassin 01:32, 14 November 2011 (UTC)

Responding to RFCs

Remember that RFCs are part of Dispute Resolution and at times may take place in a heated environment. Please take a look at the relevant RFC page before responding and be sure that you are willing and able to enter that environment and contribute to making the discussion a calm and productive one focussed on the content issue at hand. See also Wikipedia:Requests for comment#Suggestions for responding.

Greetings! You have been randomly selected to receive an invitation to participate in the request for comment on Talk:Southern Baptist Convention. Should you wish to respond to the invitation, your contribution to this discussion will be very much appreciated! However, please note that your input will carry no greater weight than anyone else's: remember that an RFC aims to reach a reasoned consensus position, and is not a vote. In support of that, your contribution should focus on thoughtful evaluation of the issues and available evidence, and provide further relevant evidence if possible.

Australian Christian Lobby

Hi there. You previously helped edit the page Australian Christian Lobby. I'm not sure if you still watch the page, but if not the editor who was ignoring our pleas for co-operation for quite some time last year is still hard at work adding every nice thing anybody has ever said about the ACL to the article. In an effort to keep the article neutral I pay close attention and am constantly reverting some of his edits which are very deceptive (still not sure if he is deliberately ignoring the guidelines) and adding criticism of the ACL to the article so it does not have undue weight in favour of them when most mainstream comments seem to be negative, in my opinion. This slow burning edit war has been going on for over a year now, and I still for the life of me don't know if there is a formal place I'm supposed to take an issue like this to to get the article peer reviewed by somebody else. As time goes by the article turns more and more overly detailed and convoluted and I fear an edit war if I make any bold changes. I have contacted the editor "Brianboulton" who previously supplied as with "some neutral observations" on the talk page and he said he might look into it but it appears he has more pressing things to do, which i understand. Can you either have a look at the article and make or suggest changes or let me know if you know of a formal place I can take this issue to? Despite the fact I have over 10,000 edits on wikipedia I am mainly a gnome here and this is the only long-term dispute I have ever been in; I don't know where to go from here and the issue is only getting worse.

Also the editor in question has still not provided non-primary sources in many of the places you requested them in Novemeber 2011. Do you know if that information can be removed since a non-primary source has not been found or must it stay there with the request? Freikorp (talk) 14:00, 30 May 2012 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
