Dennis DeYoung edit

Your recent series of edits to the Dennis DeYoung page had some problems.

  1. In English, when an event occurred in the past, we use the past tense to describe it. In 2008, DeYoung released (not releases).
  2. Facts (especially facts likely to be disputed, such as the platinum or triple-platinum status of a recording) require verification, in the form of a citation to a reliable source. Several facts you introduced had no such citations.
  3. Individual paragraphs do not need "headlines".
  4. In a section chronicling a musician's career, events should be kept in chronological order.

Hello WikiDan61,

I will make the updates that you've suggested. The platinum status that I've included and all the text that I've submitted comes directly from Dennis DeYoung himself.

Information directly from Mr. DeYoung himself does not constituted a valid source. He can say anything he likes about his own success. That doesn't make it true. In order to be considered verifiable, the information must appear in a published source that is widely available, so that other editors can readily look up and verify the information.
