Speedy deletion nomination of Clare Beesley edit

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Clare Beesley requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. 99.149.84.135 (talk) 01:11, 29 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia! Your contributions are welcome & I hope you stay. However, I had to delete your article as I was unable to find any reliable sourcing to verify the content as required by policy. This provision is in place to protect both our readers and the subjects we write about from untrue information. If you are able to locate any reliable sourcing (for example, news stories or music reviews) about Mr. Olofsson, let me know & I will be happy to restore it. --ThaddeusB (talk) 03:27, 29 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

That excuse won't get you too far on Wikipedia edit

Please don't use the "there's other stuff you should delete before this" excuse. That has been proven to be a very ineffective rationale for deletion discussions. See WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS for more information. (With regard to your rationale on Clare Beesley) —Mr. E. Sánchez (that's me!)What I Do / What I Say 01:46, 29 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Question edit

Hi Davidqwerty, the theme here is identity: I'm the same editor that tagged the articles you started, now operating under a different IP. For the record, I don't doubt the subjects' talents, just their notability, based on the lack of supporting sources. I do have one question about the two remaining articles: given that their names are anagrams of one another, they were born in the same year, work in the same field, and both attended or are associated with the University of Sussex (though not mentioned in Nilson's article, the info is online [1]) are Nick Collins (composer) and Click Nilson the same person? If it's more than coincidence, that really needs to be addressed. Thanks , 99.155.206.57 (talk) 16:22, 29 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
