Welcome! edit

Welcome!

Hello, Darth Chyrsaor, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on your talk page. Again, welcome! --ais523 09:46, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

Re: (User talk:ais523) How to seperate those boxes, like the ones that tell you "/this user plays halo, and whatnot edit

The problem was that you hadn't balanced the tags on your userpage correctly; each opening tag (to start something like a <div> or table) needs to have a matching closing tag in the right place. For instance, {| ('start table') needs a matching |} ('end table'), and <div styling information> needs a matching </div>. I've fixed this for you; see what I did.

I don't mind other people copying things from my userpage.

On another note, when you write a message on a User talk: or Talk: page, it helps a lot if you sign the message by writing ~~~~ at the end. This will place your signature on the page (you have a default signature automatically generated by the software; see Wikipedia:Signatures), and it makes it a lot easier to reply to the message and to keep track of who said what.

Hope that helps! --ais523 09:46, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

October 2007 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to List of Internet slang phrases, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Thank you. --əˈnongahy ♫Look What I've Done!♫ 23:00, 29 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

The article TSJO has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 01:04, 1 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

November 2007 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Donut (Red vs. Blue), is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. This is especially important when dealing with biographies of living people, but applies to all Wikipedia articles. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Thank you. — TKD::Talk 04:19, 22 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to George W. Bush, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Re: WikiProjects edit

Right now, a WikiProject Red vs. Blue is kind of unnecessary, given that WikiProject Halo covers the scope of those articles. WikiProject Machinima does, too, but that's largely inactive. Instead of forming a new project, it'd really be better to revive WikiProject Machinima. — TKD::Talk 05:04, 22 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

One more thing: Please remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This makes discussions easier to follow. Also, try not to use chat-room abbreviations instead of standard English; I don't mind, but others may, and not everyone who contributes to Wikipedia is a native speaker of English, so they might find it confusing. — TKD::Talk 05:10, 22 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Spartan-112's Ads edit

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion of IMPORTANT!!! edit

A tag has been placed on IMPORTANT!!!, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you create an inappropriate page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. — Save_Us_229 19:54, 22 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Stop edit

You are creating a lot of inappropriate pages. If you want to experiment, please use the WP:sandbox or a temp. userpage. If you continue to add seeming nonsense to the encyclopaedia, you will be blocked from editing. Thank you. --Bradeos Graphon (talk) 19:56, 22 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Info edit

To create an article that will survive, it has to be about something notable for the purposes of an encyclopaedia. For an idea of what will get zapped right away, see WP:NOT.

Then, click on and read through the following links:

It seems like a lot (it is!) and will take some time, but it will completely answer your question. --Bradeos Graphon (talk) 20:02, 22 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

UTC-8 clock edit

The clock is actually set to UTC, as the name suggests.

Here's how you would set it to a different time zone (by displaying the time 8 hours ago):

{{User:Ais523/Sandbox/ClockUTC|{{#time:h|-8 hours}}|{{CURRENTMINUTE}}}}
The time is 08:44.

Hope that helps! --ais523 13:22, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
