Welcome edit

Hello, Danread, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions; I hope you like the place and decide to stay. We're glad to have you in our community! Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Though we all make goofy mistakes, here is what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to see the help pages or add a question to the village pump. The Community Portal can also be very useful.

Apologies. My mistake. I've just been reading the same link. SteveO 18:44, 11 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Non-league pro clubs edit

I do know that some Conference National clubs are pro, but not exactly which.

  • I do know that Crawley Town are pro.
  • There is a mixture of pro and semi-pro clubs, and it's up to them whether they can afford to go full-time.
  • Clubs relegated out of the league normally stay pro for a few seasons at least.
  • Telford United were pro for a short time until they went bankrupt.
  • Shrewsbury Town were pro for their one season in it.

I don't know too much about this, as you can tell, but I hope I've been a little helpful.  sʟυмɢυм • т  c  20:44, 27 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:P5120070.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading Image:P5120070.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:09, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

If you took this picture, you need to give it a free use license (meaning you permit commercial usage, modification, and redistribution) if you want it to be kept on Wikipedia. See WP:ICT#For image creators for the allowable licensing. If these terms are unacceptable to you, then do nothing and the image will be deleted soon. IP Block Exemption edit

IP block exempt edit

I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.

Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.

Note in particular that you are not permitted to use this newly-granted right to edit Wikipedia via anonymous proxies, or disruptively. If you do, or there is a serious concern of abuse, then the right may be removed by any administrator.

Appropriate usage and compliance with the policy may be checked periodically, due to the nature of block exemption, and block exemption will be removed when no longer needed (for example, when the block it is related to expires).

I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. User:FT2 (talk) 07:26, 7 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem with Image:J Mills.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:J Mills.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
