What is the link? One reason might be that it is a site outside Wikipedia, but using a Wiki as the website system. In that case, you'll have to register an additional account there as well. So, Daniel, you asked about the signature? Well, go to your Preferences page and type in some code in your Nickname box. For example, if you want a red sig, you would type in the following:

[[User:Daniel O|<font color="red">Daniel O</font>]]

Then, when you use ~~~~ it will show up as Daniel O. Ask about the finer details on my talk page.

Be sure to check the "Raw Signature" box beneath the "Nickname" box.

Harry Potter stuff

No probs, and thanks for your response. I'll archive the section (and probably some other old text) to prevent further ill-will. Thanks for the invitation to the Harry Potter wiki, but my time is fairly limited as is. Actually, I wish I'd have more time to spend to the Ultronomicon, a Star Control Wiki.
