(UTC)Welcome!

Hello, DancexwithxmexXx, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please don't move your user page. It is in the User namespace (which means that it starts with User:), and that's where it belongs. After you moved it around, I had it moved back to its proper location. Please keep it there.

Please feel welcome to start your own pages, in addition to editing existing ones. If you create a page, and change your mind about it before any other user makes a significant edit to it, leave a db-self on it so that it will be deleted.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date.

If you have any questions or problems, no matter what they are, leave me a message on my talk page. Or, please come to the Newcomers help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type helpme on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

If you are already loving Wikipedia you might want to consider being "adopted" by a more experienced editor or joining a WikiProject to collaborate with others in creating and improving articles of your interest. Click here for a directory of all the WikiProjects.

Again, welcome! Od Mishehu 14:22, 20 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Adoption edit

Hey there, I saw your request for adoption, and I'm liking what I've seen from your contributions so far, so I'll offer to fill the position if you're up for it? Just drop by my talk page with any questions you have and if you are interested, let me know a bit about what you'd like to learn! Hope to hear from you soon, - Zeibura (Talk) 14:19, 26 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Good to hear from you! And yes, that was the right place to put what you wrote. So for your signature, you use HTML when you can't use wiki code, so for colour change the code would be
<font color="blue">text</font>
. Hope this helps, - Zeibura (Talk) 18:11, 28 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Let's see if this works. --<font color="green">I'm</font><font color="purple"> Kinda</font><font color=pink"> Awesome...</font> 18:19, 28 June 2007 (UTC) It didn't what the helllll

Ah, you need to turn on the "raw signature" checkbox. You'll need to put a link to your userpage in there as well though, so change it to
<font color="green">I'm</font><font color="purple"> Kinda</font><font color=pink"> Awesome...</font>
. That'll give you: I'm Kinda Awesome...
- Zeibura (Talk) 18:22, 28 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Aah, there's a quote missing before the word pink. Try that. - Zeibura (Talk) 18:28, 28 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Hey! Yeah, hotpink's all one word. It does look clearer that way :) - Zeibura (Talk) 18:21, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Be bold when updating pages edit

Cool :) I've turned my userpage into a redirect for the time being, it's in need of a redesign methinks. BTW, a bit of advice, when you come across something you think needs fixing as you did in the Trivia section on dora the explorer, the best idea is to just do it. It's far more productive to boldly make changes if you feel it's needed, as even if someone does disagree they can revert at the click of a button, then discuss (see Bold, Revert, Discuss). I don't think anyone would have disagreed that saying the translator imitated the actress's voice "expertly" without any references is way off the NPOV mark. So yeah, Be BoldTM! :) - Zeibura (Talk) 19:03, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re:Smile edit

WikiThanks

I just found that smiley you hid away in my talk archives :) Thank you! It's good to see you're still editing. I haven't been around much recently but I'm back online now and although preoccupied, still reading my watch list every so often, so if you need anything you're always welcome to give me a shout. - Zeibura (Talk) 08:02, 10 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re:Userbox edit

Hey! If I interpret that correctly, it looks like you haven't closed the box at the end, so it'll engulf everything on the page from that point down. This appears to work:

AVRIL Hey hey! You you! I don't like your userbox!

Pics and user categories edit

Aaaah I've had to remove the pics from those userboxes, due to a copyright issue. Those two images are copyrighted pictures and can only be used in articles to illustrate their subject - therefore they're not allowed in user space. You probably wanted to make them smaller, for future reference this is done like:

The number of px is the number of pixels wide the image is, and 50 is about normal for userboxes. But yeah, be careful what images you put in your userpage, fair use pics will eventually get removed.

As for user categories - your two suggestions made me chuckle at the least, but if you do create them they will probably get deleted I'm afraid. Categories which go further than "Wikipedians who like..." or "Wikipedians who are interested in..." often end up getting deleted at User categories for discussion. They're supposed to be for collaborative purposes, so those two would get deemed redundant to Category:Wikipedians who like SpongeBob SquarePants, if you see what I mean. Adding your userpage to categories is quite simple though, add the following to the bottom of your userpage:

So sorry to spoil your fun, but there are many users out there who really care lots for user categories, and they would get deleted. Have a nice day, - Zeibura (Talk) 22:19, 1 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Most images on Wikipedia can be used, as most of the images you'll find are free content, but there are some which aren't and which can only be used to illustrate articles about their topics; things like CD covers, TV screenshots, which can't be recreated without using a copyrighted image. You can use free images anywhere in your userspace, non free images will all be in Category:All non-free media, so if it's not in that category you can use it. You might want to check out Wikimedia Commons as well, which is a repository for free images. Hope this helps, - Zeibura (Talk) 16:22, 2 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

User categories edit

Hey there, just fixed a few user categories on your user page. The prefix is generally "Wikipedians who like..." rather than "Users who like..." just so you know. Have a nice day, - Zeibura (Talk) 11:06, 3 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Red is for Remembrance edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Red is for Remembrance, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Red is for Remembrance seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Red is for Remembrance, please affix the template hangon to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Spelling edit

I was just reading your user page b/c I was curious as to who "I'm Kinda Awesome" was....Anyway, you spelled "strip" wrong. Thought I'd let you know. I'll fix it, but feel free to change it back if you want to. It was spelled "stirp", but I will change it to "strip". (I know, I'm weird for telling you that you spelled "strip" wrong, but you did :)). Feel free to post any questions, comments, or concerns on my talk page. Have a great day!
