Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Dana Joan Reynolds. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Fred W. Glover, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
  • instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 15:43, 7 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Requesting help with Fred W. Glover page

edit

Hello, I have a rather extensive list of the cited accomplishments of Fred Glover. The current page is outdated. I have posted them in entirety once, and it was removed because there was some unintended unicode being pasted with my text, so I re-typed it about half-way through, and when I returned today to finish, it was removed again as a COI violation. I am indeed related to Fred, however I believe my content was unbiased, and went through a lot of editing to ensure it was impartial. I would very much like this to be re-posted, because Fred's accomplishments are genuine and speak for themselves. I welcome any edits to remove any wiffs of nepotism, but I challenge anyone to find them! Thanks for any help. Dana Joan Reynolds (talk) 01:04, 8 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Submitted new attempt at Fred W. Glover page

edit

Hello Wikipedia helpers, I have recreated the Fred W. Glover page in my sandbox and have resubmitted it for review. I am not receiving compensation for my work on this page. My connection with Fred is that I am his daughter. Nevertheless, all entries are factual and cited. I welcome discussion where improvements may be made. The 'live' entries prior to my updates are outdated and incomplete. This work is to correct outdated material and to complete the record. Thanks, Dana Reynolds

edit

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Dana Joan Reynolds/sandbox/Dana Joan Reynolds, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
