Rollback

Thanks for reverting that, I didn't even know I had done it. My touchscreen keeps clicking on buttons when I'm trying to scroll. Rcsprinter123 (chatter) @ 16:29, 6 March 2014 (UTC)

Don't you just hate it when PCs do things you don't want them to do? Are you using a desktop, laptop, or tablet? ---------User:DanTD (talk) 16:36, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
Tablet (iPad). Rcsprinter123 (push) @ 16:41, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
Ahh. I use a desktop, and I have a tablet too (Kindle Fire HD), but I don't use that to edit Wikipedia. I've been trying to use that to edit IMDb, but I haven't been able to do so, and I think I'd have the same problems of doing things against my will with that too. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 16:45, 6 March 2014 (UTC)

Re: Red Bank

Not my cup of tea, but my bet says the NY&LB. I would look for more sources to back it up. Mitch32(The man who renounces himself, comes to himself.) 18:53, 20 March 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 22

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Surface Transportation Corporation, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page 42nd Street Crosstown Line (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I just saw your comment about it going back to 1952. Coincidentally, 1953 was the logo's prominent appearance on grills of Metro vans. I am a fan of Metros and own 4 including a rare cabover truck. I always wondered why the logo just "suddenly showed up" in '53 versus an earlier year. For example in 1948 when IH bought the Metropolitan Body Company who built the Metro bodies, the addition would have made sense. But if it didn't exist until '52 or so, that would explain its sudden appearance. --Scalhotrod - Just your average banjo playing, drag racing, cowboy... (talk) 18:47, 24 March 2014 (UTC)

I've got an old copy of American Truck & Bus Spotter's Guide; 1920-1985" by Tad Burness somewhere in storage, but it's in really crappy condition. It shows the year of the IH logo. If I can dig it up, I can confirm the year it was introduced. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 18:51, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
Sounds good! --Scalhotrod - Just your average banjo playing, drag racing, cowboy... (talk) 19:39, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
By the way, the Metros (except the bus, I was outbid on eBay for it) in the article photo gallery are mine. I'm starting on the small van first followed by the cabover truck. Then one more van, a mid-size, for sure. Not sure if I'm keeping the third van or not. --Scalhotrod - Just your average banjo playing, drag racing, cowboy... (talk) 18:42, 28 March 2014 (UTC)

Hey, I was confused what the purpose of this edit was. Unless I'm missing something, the link worked fine previously. Good catch on the Amtrak redirects, by the way. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 18:17, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

It was more or less to make sure it didn't fall under Category:Commons category template with no category set. And your welcome. I had to keep the Northeast Corridor out of the Sunset Limited. I wish I didn't have to make as many null edits as part of the process, though. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 18:28, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

CR 35 Alt. error shields

Ah, this one is on the Goog, just somewhat hidden by a a road work sign. How about the sign going the other way? Does this also have the error? --NE2 13:54, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

Nope. That says CR 35 Alternate, just like on "The Goog." For the record, no signs exist at all along Old Lakeland Highway, or on US 98-301 approaching Old Lakeland Highway. I assume they were all knocked down in accidents. I still wish I could find other evidence showing them as separate routes. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 13:59, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

Wahoo's ZIP Code

I noticed on the Wahoo, Florida page that you included a hidden note in the infobox. I just checked the ZIP Code on the USPS's web site; the Post Office states, "Sorry, 32010 is not a valid ZIP Code™. Please double-check it and try again." When I looked on the United States Zip Codes.org web site, it clearly showed the Wahoo area as a part of the 33513 ZIP Code. Based on that information, I removed the note. I thought that you wanted to know. SciGal (talk) 17:45, 28 April 2014 (UTC)

Sorry, I was going by this. I don't know how "32010" came up, although it wouldn't be such a bad idea for Wahoo as much of Florida's population grows, but that's how I got it.---------User:DanTD (talk) 19:10, 28 April 2014 (UTC)
It's okay. From what I could tell on the link you included, that editor supposedly obtained his/her information from the USGS FIPS55 database. The USGS apparently no longer has that database (or it's buried in a different part of the USGS's web site), and the USGS's current information on Wahoo does not list a ZIP Code. Separate the articles!

The facilities should remain separate as they were conceived, designed, funded, and built separately. 99.185.25.118 (talk) 11:16, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
