A note on voting

Just a few things. First, it seems that you've initiated two attempts to gain consensus on the Status talk page. I'm sure I don't need to remind you that Wikipedia is not a democracy and that voting is, well, evil. When we make a vote, all humans commit themselves to that outcome. The prohibition on voting isn't just so that Wikipedia can seem above petty politics, it's because it's a lot easier to compromise and make a decision before someone has "made up their mind" and gone through the process of voting. Consensus isn't just about making the most people happy, it's about finding an acceptable result for everybody. Second, if you mean to make an overall change to some process (even an Enrollment or Status process) might I suggest using the centralized WT:CVUA, if only because it's a higher-traffic area. I really hope this doesn't come down as preach-y, that's not my intention. You've been handling a lot of the Coordination work yourself (work and life right now are not being conducive to Wiki-ing; especially when you add in UEFA Euro 2012 and my work coordinating Boston's Wikinic) and it's really been helpful.Also, it looks like we might need to take some action in regards to the Riley/Grizzly thing, so just keep an eye on that (and yes, I hid this to keep as many wandering eyes off it as possible). Of course, I am only trying to achieve consensus, while trying to make it easier for me to coordinate. I think the problem is that the status page used to redirect to the main talk page so not everyone has watchlisted the status page. I'll work on fixing that asap. Yes, I think you were right and Riley and Grizzly were wrong. I personally wouldn't curse, but that's not against the policies, perWP: CENSOR, so you were allowed to curse. When I first looked at it, I wondered why you were being mean to Riley, but I see you were right, as you were commenting on why Riley was being a hypocrite by commenting on Grizzly's spelling when he couldn't spell himself. Grizzly shouldn't have insulted Riley, but Riley was also partially to blame, so he's not innocent, either. Also, Riley's comment about Grizzly getting rollback was NOT called for. It seems to me that Riley is not so familiar with the policies here, as he requested a "cool down block" at DRN, which is against our policies. Damn, :P I was going to cite wp:censor, but I went with wp:DGAF instead. Probably not the smartest move 'cause the title has a curse in it, but what's done is done. Me and Acho will not let Grizzly back into the academy, so if he reapplies and you get there first let him know. We will be keeping an eye on Riley, as I recomend you do too.

This is all my fault, as I told Chip that FK had put a block template up again, and then Chip told Tide Rolls (sysop), who told Ebikeguy to tell him that if he does it again, he will be reported to ANI.
