Old Messages edit

Hello DM7. It is more proffered here on Wikipedia instead of deleting pages to create an archive. If you would like to do this, simply add this to the top of your talk page: <!-- Template:Archive_box begins --> <div class="infobox" style="width: 315px"> <div style="text-align: center"><imagemap>Image:Vista-file-manager.png|50px default List of archives desc none</imagemap><br /> <span style="font-size: smaller"><span title="List of archives">Archives</span></span> </div> ---- 1

Next, click on the "1" and add the messages there. Please ask me if you have any questions! BTW, nice job on The Art Institute of Las Vegas. - Milk's Favorite Cookie 22:02, 5 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

External map service links edit

Hello. You have been identified as having added or removed direct external map service links in articles[1]. There is a discussion at Wikipedia talk:External links#Issues with inclusion or exclusion of map service links about which should be done, and some more opinions would be good to find community consensus. --Para (talk) 23:02, 8 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

January 2010 edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give California Design College a different title by copying its content and pasting it into The Art Institute of California – Hollywood. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of GEAR Software edit

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on GEAR Software, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
