Speedy deletion of Poonam Mahajan Rao edit

A tag has been placed on Poonam Mahajan Rao requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Plrk (talk) 11:20, 24 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:Poonam mahajan 1.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading File:Poonam mahajan 1.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:06, 5 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Poonam Mahajan signing membership form.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Poonam Mahajan signing membership form.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 16:10, 6 December 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 16:10, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Mulit-Core Processors.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:Mulit-Core Processors.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 12:06, 3 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

August 2012 edit

Hello, Cyberhawk 5. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Vu TelePresence, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. noq (talk) 08:38, 7 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppetry case edit

Your name has been mentioned in connection with a sockpuppetry case. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Cyberhawk 5 for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to cases before editing the evidence page. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 13:17, 7 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for sock puppetry per evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Cyberhawk 5. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but using them for illegitimate reasons is not. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Hello there. Per Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to handle conflicts of interest, I would like to ask you about your association with Vu TelePresence.

Blocked edit

Dear DoRD

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Your reason here - I have only one account and however my friend User:Shravanshetty502 also operate from the same IP and initially when we were warming up to wiki we unknowingly made many errors but we are two real different people and this can be verified , i can also share proof of identity, so i shouldn't be banned for sock-puppetry its very unfair. I am ready to be reprimanded for any other errors committed but not for sock puppetry. If you check my recent history then now i am working on my own offcourse if i need help i can ask my friends for that, that is allowed. I wont ask you to unblock me cause i know this i shouldn't be blocked in first place. This has come as a bad shockCyberhawk 5 (talk) 17:08, 14 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

First, just looking at the conversation on User Talk:Shravanshetty502, it is extremely unlikely that you are not the same person, given the similarities in writing style and the fact that you both edited extremely similar topics. Furthermore, you've "both" been found to be lying about working for a particular company, a company which in fact you made a WP article for. Then, as Peridon says, there's now a third account making the same edits in the same style. And the thing is, even in the very unlikely chance that you're not actually the same person, you're clearly WP:MEATPUPPETs, in the fact that you are editing on behalf of one another, not as independent people; the same policy that says we block socks says that if two people are editing so similarly that we can't tell them apart, then we still block them as meatpuppets. So I must decline your unblock request. Should you wish to restrict yourself to one account, explain exactly what occurred, explain why it was wrong and what you'll do differently in the future (note that I'm not talking only about the sockpuppetry), then, there is a slight possibility someone might consider unblocking you. But not now. Qwyrxian (talk) 12:56, 16 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

What about Gyaantech? Are there three of you now all with the same interest in editing about a company none of you work for? Peridon (talk) 19:59, 14 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Dear Qwyrxian All three are separate individual profiles but i think by mistake and due to lack of knowledge my profile was accessed by Shravan and he was banned prior to me and let him make his own appeal. Now that i have learnt more about wiki rules i will work in a sane singular manner. How do you trust me - well unblock me for a trial period and see my behavior and if not suited block me. However blocking other users known to me who may work in same pages is unfair. So how is my offer ?Cyberhawk 5 (talk) 15:13, 16 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Phil Cavanagh edit

The article Phil Cavanagh has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one.
