Unspecified source for Image:CityJericho hall.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:CityJericho hall.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MECUtalk 20:28, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Jericho (fictional town) edit

You continually add original research to the Jericho (fictional town) article. There has been no episode where Robert Hawkins was mentioned to be a sheriff's deputy, yet you add him in the list of deputies anyway. You draw conclusions about what a particular article of clothing may mean, which is not appropriate for a Wikipedia article. You mention that the medical clinic has "a full service medical staff of doctors and nurses", even though that has not been shown to be the case. Nobody has called the medical clinic "the JMC", yet you include that in the article. No building or zoning permits have been shown in the show, let alone has there been any mention of where you might get one, yet you add that the town hall building is where that would happen. There has been no information regarding whether the town of Jericho operates the library or whether it is a private or semi-private institution, yet you claim that it is both owned and operated by the town. The "BG Clothing" store hasn't even been shown in the series, and yet you have invented several details about it, possibly including its very existence (since you don't cite a source for the existence of such a building. And so on, and so forth.

This is what's known as original research, and it is not permitted in Wikipedia articles. Until the show itself specifies a specific piece of information, or until it is mentioned in another reliable source—such as an interview with one of the writers, producers, or actors—if you add it to the Jericho article, it will be removed by either myself or another Wikipedia editor. Don't extrapolate possibilities based on limited data; don't interpret existing data and draw your own conclusions; don't add comparisons that haven't been made already by the show.

License tagging for Image:Deputy Jimmy.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Deputy Jimmy.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. Your continued revision of the Jericho pages edit

Please stop rewriting the Jericho pages to "promote" minor characters. Only certain characters are identified as "main" or primary roles, and this decision is made by the television network and the production company. Wikipedia articles have to follow these decisions; it is not our role to decide who is a main character and who is a minor character. For assistance, I again ask that you refer to the Jericho website at [1]. Thank you. --Ckatzchatspy 19:35, 27 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Since you're active on the Jericho pages, though, you may be interested to see that Shoshannah Stern ("Bonnie") is listed on the web site. As such, she could be added to the list. Cheers. --Ckatzchatspy 20:16, 27 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
Why are you so insistent on doing this? You're pushing the 3RR rules, you're going against established Wikipedia conventions for TV articles, and you're presenting information that is factually incorrect. What's the rationale for this course of action? --Ckatzchatspy 20:36, 27 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Undiscussed page moves edit

Please do not move pages without discussion. You may not have been aware of this, but your move went against a pre-existing consensus as to where to locate the page. The November 2006 move discussion resulted in the article being placed at Jericho (fictional town). At the time of that discussion, the page was at Jericho, Kansas; the following comment explains why that location could not be used:

"Jericho, Kansas is deprecated by Wikipedia:Naming conventions (settlements), to make sure that no one confuses it with an article on a real place; it might be mentioned in a context, or a category, which would not make clear it was fictional."

If you have any questions about this, please leave me a note. --Ckatzchatspy 18:13, 10 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

East brunswock NJ Pub Safety edit

You misspelled the title of the page, and NUMEROUS parts within it. Further, every PD in america isn't notable. Finally, the article is thoroughly unsourced. I will be nominating it for deletion. ThuranX 22:23, 3 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Having the mayor's permission doesn't mean anything. It's simply not notable. In fact, acting on the mayor's behalf in using Wikipedia to promote the town is what we at Wikipedia call a Conflict of interest, and commerical abuse of the site. ALl the more reason to delete it. No, that's not what I said, at all. I would support the NYPD inclusion. I support the inclusion ofthe LAPD. but East Bruswick NJ PD can be included in a single paragraph in the main EB page. ThuranX 22:56, 3 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Another undiscussed page move edit

This is the second time you have had to be warned about making undiscussed, inappropriate, and unilateral page moves. There is no justification for the move you made at Jericho, given that the West Bank location is easily the most notable site with that name. To compound this matter, you did not even open a discussion on what is bound to be a controversial move, and you performed the move to create a disambiguation page featuring your own article on a fictional town. A request to repair the changes you made has been filed - please use more discretion in the future. Thank you. Ckatzchatspy 03:16, 7 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image (Image:JSD2.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:JSD2.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. PS2pcGAMER (talk) 08:54, 20 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Jericho's New 'World' (Music Video) edit

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Jericho's New 'World' (Music Video), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Jericho - list of characters edit

Hello... your revisions to the article List of Jericho characters have been reverted. Once again, I must ask that you cease rewriting character-related information in order to "promote" minor characters. In this most recent case, the reorganization of the character table was both confusing and unnecessary, as well as contrary to established Wikipedia practise for presentation of information about fictional characters. You may wish to discuss such changes on the talk page in future, so as to avoid problems. Please feel free to ask if you have any questions. Thank you. --Ckatzchatspy 19:24, 30 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image tagging for Image:CID Logo.png edit

Thanks for uploading Image:CID Logo.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Will Pope edit

A tag has been placed on Will Pope, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ROGER TALK 17:51, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hmmm. The policy is clear. Characters belong in the main article: if it becomes too long, main characters can be given sub articles. The main article isn't that long at all. ROGER TALK 18:44, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Journeyman edit

Hi there. I noticed that some of your additions to the characters in the Journeyman TV series were being redirected by other contributors. If you're looking for a place to write about that stuff, there's a wiki for Journeyman hosted on Wikia. You're welcome to come check it out if you like. —scarecroe 20:23, 25 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:EBLOGO.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading Image:EBLOGO.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:10, 26 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source for Image:JSD.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading Image:JSD.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use.

If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:35, 31 October 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Calliopejen1 17:35, 31 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:JerichoFireDept.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:JerichoFireDept.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:BillKohler.JPG edit

Thank you for uploading Image:BillKohler.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 23:38, 7 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Oliviahusseynudity.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Oliviahusseynudity.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use.

Duplicate Image:Jericho cop 3.JPG edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Jericho cop 3.JPG, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Jericho cop 3.JPG is a duplicate of an already existing article, category or image.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Jericho cop 3.JPG, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Proposed deletion of Bob Stephenson (actor) edit

The article Bob Stephenson (actor) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

fails WP:ENT

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Josh Parris 02:01, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
