Merge with Wikipedia:WikiProject energy please. And put on Wikipedia:WikiProject list.

Hey thanks for helping out with the list of new york books. I'm trying to make it exhaustive.

Hi, you created this template, but seem to have given up on it. I'm planning to list it for deletion since I guess you gave up on it and it will never be used. Since you seem to be away, I'm going to leave this up for a while waiting for your comment first. Mozzerati 08:02, 2005 Apr 1 (UTC)

Thank you and Button Comments? edit

Thank you for your work! It is unfortunate that the debate about the 2005 Atlantic Hurricane Season bar has caused you to want to take an extended break; hopefully, you will feel you can come back fairly soon. You might be interested that I have tried to improve a bit on the bar and produce perhaps a compromise version; you may see it currently at User:AySz88/Sandbox and comment if you wish. Anyway, a well-deserved thank you for your work on producing the bar, and I hope to see you around soon! AySz88^-^ 04:25, 13 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Buffy in Space edit

Hiya.

Nice Buffy addition!

I was gonna tweak it a teensy bit, but was stymied by the fact that I don't know what it means :-)

Recently, as of 2005, there was a Trans-Neptunian object 2004 XR190 named unofficially for the main character of the series. The official name cannot be Buffy under current astronomical naming conventions if 2004 XR190 is considered a plutino it must be named for a deity of creation. (See 2003 UB313 (Xena))

I'm not sure how to parse that penultimate sentence:

The official name cannot be Buffy under astronomical naming conventions if Foo is considered a Bar it must be named for a deity of creation.

Is that:

The official name cannot be Buffy under astronomical naming conventions if Foo is considered a Bar. It must be named for a deity of creation."

or:

The official name cannot be Buffy under astronomical naming conventions. If Foo is considered a Bar it must be named for a deity of creation.

Or something else? The articles I read seemed to suggest that the official name must be that of a creation deity or an underground deity, neither of which fit Buffy, though the former could just about fit Willow in "Chosen", and the latter could fit Glory.

The following images were uploaded by you, but are currently not in use. They have been tagged as public domain (PD), either as PD-self or other PD claim, or equivilant. These unused PD images may be subject to deletion as orphans. You may wish to add them to an article, tag them for copying to WP commons {{Copy to Wikimedia Commons}} or if they are no longer needed, they can be nominated for deletion by following the easy three step process at Images and media for deletion. Unspecified source for Image:Kscaleprojections.png edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Kscaleprojections.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:26, 16 February 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Vaya 15:26, 16 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Energy portal & future selected articles edit

Hi! Over the past couple of months I've been spending much more time than I should developing the Energy portal, and intend asking for a portal peer review within the next day or so.

The portal provides a showcase for energy-related articles on Wikipedia. One of the most prominent ways is via a the selected article that is currently changed every 6 weeks or so. It would be good to increase this turnover, and with three Wikiprojects dedicated to energy-related topics and a good number of articles already written, I'd like to suggest that members of each Wikiproject might like to use the 'selected article' to feature some of their best work.

With this in mind, I'd like to suggest that your Wikiproject bypasses the normal selected article nomination page and decides collectively which articles are worth featuring - or these may be self-evident from previous discussions - and add short 'introduction' to the selected article at the appropriate place on page Portal:Energy/Selected article/Drafts, which includes further information. Your personal involvement would be welcome!

Please make any comments on your Wikiproject talk page, my talk page, or on Portal talk:Energy/Selected article/Drafts, as appropriate. Gralo 15:23, 1 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Madinat.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Madinat.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template.
