Speedy deletion nomination of User:Courbebaisse

A tag has been placed on User:Courbebaisse requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.vph-noe.eu/vph-projects/74-eu-fp7-vph-projects/504-thrombus. Hello Courbebaisse, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your addition to User:Courbebaisse has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

• You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. Contested deletion

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... The text in this page is the text, in part, that I written when submitting the Thrombus project! That is to say that this is my text! My objective is to aware people via Wikipedia that a project named 'Thrombus' is running.

But if you think that this is not good for edition, I will take the time to write a new text.

Since we have no way to know that you are in fact the same person who wrote and published the text, there is a somewhat complex process to go through before such outside text can be accepted here. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for details. In any case, the nature and tone of the paper are really not suitable for a Wikipedia article, so a re-write would be desirable if it were to be included. But before you go to that effort, consider our guideline on notability. The subject of a Wikipedia article should have been covered in multiple independent reliable sources. This means sources that are not self-published, have a reputation for accuracy, and are not affiliated with the subject. If this hasn't happened, the Wikipedia article should not be created and if created, will probably be deleted fairly soon. Also, sicne it seems you are affiliated with this project, please read our conflict of interest guideline. In general you should not write about subjects you are clsoely assocaited with, as it is hard for most people to be neutral and objective in such cases. (edit conflict) The question wasn't quality, it was copyright. The text you used was copyright - and it matters little whose. If it's been published, it's automatically copyright, in most cases. Some government departments are copyright free zones, and some individuals waive their copyright. Wikipedia is licensed under Creative Commons CC-BY-SA 3.0 for free reuse anywhere by anyone - subject only to acknowledgement of the source. Your text isn't licensed in that way, and that conflicts with our licence. (Any editing contributions to Wikipedia are technically the copyright of the editor, but by saving, they agree to license under CC.) It's easier to rewrite than to license... Now, as to making people aware of your project, I must point out that Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, and isn't here for promoting things, whether it be a multi-national corporation or a very noble cause. Whatever the subject, there has to by notability (by our standards contained in our policies). In this case I'm not sure whether WP:CORP or WP:GROUP applies, but the principle is similar. There has to be a claim to notability backed up with reliable independent sources WP:RS. It's RS that is often the problem. There are quite a few organisations doing important work (or companies doing profitable work) that don't get known about widely and can boast no real RS type sources. Independent and reliable (not 'or') sources don't include your own sites (may be reliable - lots aren't...), blogs and press releases (neither classed as independent and reliable), or even Wikipedia (fairly accurate on the whole, but editable by anyone so not reliable). If you have another go, collect the references first. Sounds a backwards way of doing from an academic point of view, perhaps, but safer. Post them at User:Courbebaisse/DRAFT (click it and save), then ask for advice. If they pass, I can get a rescuer to help with the article construction. No point yet - try for refs first. OK?
