Speedy deletion nomination of Reporters uncensored edit

A tag has been placed on Reporters uncensored requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb1 (talk) 16:10, 22 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Removing Speedy at Reporters uncensored edit

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles you created, as you did with Reporters uncensored. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 16:14, 22 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I've read the note you left on the talk page of the above-captioned article. Unfortunately, to be the subject of an article in Wikipedia it is necessary to already be notable, and this notability has to be demonstrated by reference to reliable sources, arm's-length sources of third-party opinion stating that the topic is somehow notable in a verifiable way. You may want to look at the links in this paragraph and WP:Your first article and WP:Why was my article deleted? for useful background information that will inform your future contributions. Orphaned non-free image (File:Reporters Uncensored.gif) edit

Thanks for uploading File:Reporters Uncensored.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. FileBot (talk) 08:46, 23 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for October 27 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Chaim Dov Rabinowitz, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sodom. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Properly close table edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In your edit of 08:45, 1 February 2019 of 2004 United States Senate election in Georgia, you lost the markup {{Election box end}}, which messed up the syntax (but did not affect the current display of the page) and put the page on Lint errors: Table tag that should be deleted. Also, in your edit of 08:44, 1 February 2019 of 2004 United States Senate elections, you inserted the markup {{Election box begin no change ...}} without the corresponding {{Election box end}}, which messed up the syntax (but did not affect the current display of the page) and put the page on Lint errors: Table tag that should be deleted.

If it interests you to help avoid these and other lint errors, see Wikipedia:Linter#How you can help and a following section, Wikipedia:Linter#User Javascript tool: lintHint. If you install lintHint, you can easily identify and fix lint in any article before you save your edits. Thank you again for your contributions to Wikipedia. —Anomalocaris (talk) 10:11, 12 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Mad Commas edit

I saw your edits at Sparks (drink). The same person is adding craaazzzy commas all over WP, plus other bizarre stylistic notions (I think they are a Spanish speaker). I have tried blocking dynamic ip's before and it is a lot of work for no return whatsoever, any ideas?  Mr.choppers | ✎  21:20, 24 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Mr.choppers: Thanks for reaching out! Yes, I have identified at least three IPs associated with that person based on the peculiarities of their edits and some of the specific pages they edit. (Personally I think they may be Indian/South Asian, but I can't be sure and suppose it doesn't much matter). No, I don't know how to precede; it's too much for me to bother fixing myself, and I couldn't find a definitive answer for how I should pass the buck on this specific problem. I wish I could be of more help. -Coreydragon (talk) 22:40, 24 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
