Speedy deletion nomination of Sarshar Uqaili edit

A tag has been placed on Sarshar Uqaili requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Eeekster (talk) 09:59, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

March 2010 edit

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Sarshar Uqaili. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 10:06, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your contributed article, Allah Bux Sarshar Uqaili edit

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Allah Bux Sarshar Uqaili. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Sarshar Uqaili. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Sarshar Uqaili - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 10:42, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

This is the final warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did with Sarshar Uqaili, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Eeekster (talk) 10:49, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Suriaya sindhi edit

A tag has been placed on Suriaya sindhi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Articles for deletion nomination of Allah Baksh Sarshar Uqaili edit

I have nominated Allah Baksh Sarshar Uqaili, an article that you created, for deletion. Where does your information come from? edit

Hi Cooldemocrat,

I'm sorry that your welcome to Wikipedia has been to receive loads of warning templates, but I hope that that won't put you off from contributing.

As regards the article Allah Baksh Sarshar Uqaili, it would seem likely, from your description, that this person would be a valid topic for an article, but we need to know what sources it is based on. You have provided lots of information but where does that come from? Is is from books? Or newspapers? The two web sites that you have linked only mention Sarshar Uqaili in passing, so can't be used as the basis for an article. There is no need for sources to be in English, or for them to be available online, but we need to know where you got the information to write this. Don't worry about how to format citations - I or other editors can help with that - but for any books that you used please tell us the title, author, publisher, year of publication and page number, for newspapers the name of the newspaper, date and article title, and for online sources the url. You can put that information here if you like and I will put it in the article in the correct format. Phil Bridger (talk) 23:20, 13 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have taken it from"Ibrat" a Sindhi news paper, this article was published with the same title on 15 jan 1992...please dont hit back with the information I have provided you, I hope you will help me outCooldemocrat (talk) 18:13, 14 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
I have added a citation to the article. Phil Bridger (talk) 18:26, 14 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
Thanks a lot sir, but I can yet see the noitification saying that this article is being considered for deletion...how to counter this problem.

Thanking you, best regardsCooldemocrat (talk) 06:20, 15 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Cooldemocrat, The best way to counter the request for deletion would be to improve the article. It looks like there are now some references. If you would like some help with the language and tone, I am willing to lend a hand, but I should tell you I know nothing at all about the subject of the article. If the article does get deleted, you can ask that it be restored to your user space so you can work on it until it is ready for the main space. Just let me know if you'd like help with this. Nuujinn (talk) 12:53, 21 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

O please, I beg you for a hand, please go on doing the corrections. Just read the article once and you'll get all the info, erase all that you feel is disputed or is the bone of contention. Thanks a lot, take good care. RegardsCooldemocrat (talk) 19:00, 21 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
Ok, I'll make an edit run this afternoon/evening. But do please undertand that my role will be that of a copy editor, I'll do what I can but I'm not familiar with the topic. I also suggest that you be conservative in your edits and reversions, and if you think someone has done something you do not like, contact them via their talk page to discuss it. It is very important on wikipedia to communicate with others to reach agreement, see WP:Consensus. Nuujinn (talk) 20:51, 21 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Questions edit

Ok, I just finished a first pass. Cooldemocrat, can you visit the Talk:Allah_Baksh_Sarshar_Uqaili page and answer some of the questions I have? Also, we really need some detail on sources for the information. I see that there's a reference to "Ibrat", a Sindhi newspaper from 1992, is all of the information in the article from that? And can you find any additional references? Is there anything else you can find? Thanks! --Nuujinn (talk) 21:59, 21 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

This is the only warning you will receive. Your recent vandalism, as you did to Allah Baksh Sarshar Uqaili, will not be tolerated. Although vandalizing articles on occasions that are days or weeks apart from each other sometimes prevents editors from being blocked, your continued vandalism constitutes a long term pattern of abuse. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. GregJackP (talk) 20:29, 25 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Cooldemocrat, you should not remove these templates. I understand that you have a strong interest in this topic, but you must follows the rules here and be patient until we can find good references. Are there any libraries or teachers you can contact for advice on finding references? --Nuujinn (talk) 22:58, 25 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
