What does this edit do?

The categories at the bottom of the page keep their old names, so what does this edit do? Akeosnhaoe (talk) 16:18, 27 January 2022 (UTC)

The changes to the category keys affect where the article appears in the category listing. For example, click on Category:Auto racing lists to see that this article now appears under C for Canada, instead of the unhelpful default value of L for List. Similarly, in Category:Motorsport_in_Canada, this article is now listed under T for Tracks, rather than L for List. This is a common problem with categorisation of list articles. The default of alphabetising under the default L for List is rarely useful - instead the category key should be set so that the article is alphabetised by a keyword that a reader might be looking for within the category.
